Bridezillas $60 item Return for any reason

Jul 2, 2009 6:53 AM
:^O brand new 0 FB Does NOT know even how to check the caculated shipping to her zip or even how to make the purchase.

Buyer needs hand holding throughout whole process to even buy it , no clue at all on how to make the purchase

$60 fragile item + around $12 ship cost too.
She made a pest of herself & i was trying to help her out for over 2 hrs before she even asked the ? that got her blocked .;)

Do you accept returns for any reason ? like say after i get it , If it does not fit my needs can i just return it :_|

My reply:basically said

I do not offer refunds unless it is my error If you are unsure that it will fit your needs? It would best to not buy it.

Well her reply back was hostile & rude so my seller instinct to BBL was correct B-)

Why do buyers get stupid ?:( when they want something & it is only 1 just like it listed on ebay or other online places too . Do they NOT realize that they should be nice & not get hostile & rude towards the seller when the seller was trying to help them out:(

Now the buyer found out they were BBL & still wants to buy it LOL yea right not in this lifetime B-)

Once you get rude & hostile with me you lost the chance to buy it & no matter how nice ;) you get AFTER being rude hostile with me. Knowing you are BLOCKED .will i remove your ID from BBL. just so you can buy it , use it for wedding, then return it used {maybe making a false claim to do so } get a refund from PP with me getting a now USED item back, NEG FB & DSR hits, out shipping costs ETC.

Why do some buyers think sellers are stupid B-) Of course i could use the sale , 1 of the reasons i tried to help her out , But not at my expense of anything more then time wasted already :(

No more, if my instinct says BBL from the start then I BBL instead of wasting time & still BBL in the end because I do not want to risk time money & the item being damaged or smashed too by buyer NOT packing it as securely as i did in shipping it to her if i had to accept a return .

Thats why the wriitten word bites because intent can be misread

Ain't know way to misunderstand you're "written words" in your opening post OP.:-p

I'm not trying to bust your chops here. I don't blame you for blocking this buyer.

But I will say if I knew what your selling ID was, I'd make sure not to every buy from you either.

Which I'm sure is no skin off your nose;)

Someone pass me an explanation and a tanq on the rocks please.

I suspect the day after the wedding the buyer would discover it "didn't fit their needs".

That was exactly my thought.

That was exactly my thought.

I tend to think it might actually be a brand new ebayer who just doesn't understand how ebay works.

Questions on returns, how to calculate shipping, not knowing shipping includes handling fees, etc.

All adds up to a brand new ebayer to me.

Yep But in that respect i have had GREAT luck, read 1 of my previous posts. with all my sales I only had to refund once for my error. Only 1 missing part that i did not notice missing since there was like 80 pcs to the item & just did NOT notice it was missing that 1 part ;) Only negs i ever got in the past was from NON paying bad buyers ;)

Yep or could be a OLD buyer with BRAND new ID is a possiblity too

Sure i BBL the buyer because that could very well be real possibility & i would be out $$ time & quite possibly the item too.

I tend to think it might actually be a brand new ebayer who just doesn't understand how ebay works.

And that could be all it is, but the *way* the question was asked is what gives me pause.

Rather than asking specific questions about the item, to make sure it suits one's needs, it sounds like this buyer was seeking a no questions asked, money back guarantee.

Then again, it's likely that I am a tiny bit jaded ;)

Me either - just an embarassment to all women.

And that could be all it is, but the *way* the question was asked is what gives me pause.

Agreed, but it's the other "common" new buyer issues that make me think it could be a clueless newbie.

Either way - clueless newbie, or potential scammer - I would have blocked them as well.

That was 1 thing that I also thought of too in my decision.

what is she does not understand how FB & DSRS affect sellers & what if she thinks a 1 on DSRS is a GREAT rating ;):(

"It's a simple question, and IMO is not hostile or indicative of a PITA."

No that ?? is NOT hostile but it is a indication of a possible problem buyer. My return policy is stated. Buyer does not read that or S&H info provided.

Her reply back was rude and hostile that just made me sure i was correct in BBL

On the NEW ebay any buyer asking that ?? is a potential problem buyer & transaction coming sellers way soon. Buyer was BBL for the content of ? with that info already in listing Her reply back was just the cincher for my decision i was right to BBL

Sometimes when a buyer asks ?? you get the heads up on them with ? asked. Yep it is good thing when a potential problem buyer ask ? 1st

"How would you feel if you went to Macy's, asked about their return policy, and the salesclerk said "get out"?"

Well in real world B&M some buyers do get told to get out!

Another thing that person cannot harm a sellers ability to sell like they can on greedbay with non valid returns neg fb bad DSRS ETC

Re Post #10 Thanks

"Well there are questions and then there are QUESTIONS.
Anyone that I had to spend 2 hrs. holding their hand is a warning sign to me.

That is just me, if you choose not to block then that is your option."

Exactly All the warning signs are there that if i made the sale it might ??? NOT be a pos transaction for me. I really tried to help out thew buyer & make the sale but sometimes you have to fold

"Obviously this buyer didn't like taking no for an answer and this transaction was going to turn into a trainwreck waiting to happen."

Yep i agree ;)

:) Yep i may just be a tiny bit jaded too but after 5 years of selling on greedbay sellers can get made that way by certain buyers ;)
