OK..I made a big mistake. I let someone do my shipping for me while I was sick and out of about 24 items two had a problem. Same buyer purchased both problem items. The lady I had shipping the items cannot find the reciept that she shipped the items. I didn't know there was a problem with the shipments until buyer filed a claim of no reciept. I refunded her for both auctions including shipping immeditately. Items totaled about $30.00. I told her if they came back from the post office, I would re-send at my expense and no cost to her and told to keep as a gift if they arrived. I told her if she wanted anything else on my auctions I would apply $50.00 toward anything she wanted. I still got 2 negs and a lot of emails saying she wants more than the full refund if I want her to remove the negs. What should I do?

Seems like you did more than necessary, and most buyers would have either left no FB or given a positive for working it out. But buyer's FB said she had to file with Paypal to get a refund. Did she?

I would not do anymore. She already has a full refund, can keep the items should they arrive and a $50.00 credit toward future purchases. Seems to me if she were really willing to remove the negs she would satisfied with what has already been given.

1. Never, ever offer store credit. It might make sense for a B&M store. It's downright offensive on ebay.

2. A little bit of over-refund goes a long ways when a seller ends up accidentally failing to perform.

3. Ask buyer what they want.

a lot of emails saying she wants more than the full refund if I want her to remove the negs.

Keep all of the emails where she has said that. The ones that came to your regular email address are the ones that will have full headers.

You can probably appeal the negs on the grounds of Feedback Extortion, but we need more info about the transaction whether it would be worth pursuing or not.

I found out her items didn't arrive by her filing with Pay Pal. She never contacted me before that.

One of the reasons there is some value in having the DC# with the item.

Buyer can find it, and look at it.

A buyer who sees no DC# is going to be on edge. Do you have any idea what really happened such that the stuff didn't get DC?

I had a friend help me get some items shipped while I was in the hospital. I always get delivery confirmations, but she didn't know. She can't even find any of the reciepts. Everything else she shipped for my has arrived. I told my buyer this, and I've asked what she wants. She just says satisfaction and implys more $.
