At the two month line, either you post the neg or not. Sure, but not as the first choice as communication. Why not tell the OP they should have emailed the seller first? Why encourage buyers to leave negative feedback when there are clear and better alternatives.
Posting the neg keeps the transaction open, since seller can fix the transaction in exchange for the neg being modified. If OP paid with a credit card, the transaction is still open. If not, then you are correct. But it still would have been better to communicate. Why does your advice always have to be so anti-seller?
If OP had not posted the neg, the transaction would be closed. Not necessarily. OP still has the credit card route.
Confronting every buyer who comes by here having negged and looking to do the right thing is the dead worst of feedie culture. Says you. You're neg-happy. And please note that two of us suggested the OP contact his credit card company. Your sage advice seems always to boil down to "Neg the buster!"
Yes, it would have been ideal to file an INR somewhere before 45 days. I'd wager OP doesn't have the faintest idea what "INR" means.
Yes, we'd like to know what happened to DC, if any. Delivery confirmation from Thailand. Yeah. Sure.
Yes, maybe seller could have gotten one shipped soon if asked. Duh. Maybe you could have informed OP of this alternative.
But also yes, buyer had to post the neg to maintain any rights at all. Again, only if he didn't fund his playment with a credit card.
Doncha wish OP had come here earlier so you could have explained how to give all 1s on the DSRs? Man, missed a bet there!
