1 day shipping and how it effects handmade sellers

I feel that ebay doesn't consider that people selling handmade items can't do 1 day shipping. Somedays I get up to 15 orders and there is no way that I can crochet that many items in 1 day. Sadly, I may lose my power seller status because of these new rules. Does this affect you also?

I will be affected.  I do custom wedding packages and custom wedding accessories.  I have to buy flowers, material and supplies for each wedding after it is purchased, then put it together while getting smaller orders out quickly.  My last two weddings were very large (10 and 12 bouquets for starters) and there was no way I could have gotten either of them done in less than a week.  My custom wedding customers are interested in quality; they don't want speed, they want the details done to their specifications.

I don't think it is fair to us.  I have fantastic DSR, 100% feedback and am a power seller.  Why should they just blanket this across all sellers without taking in to account what your are selling.

Custom orders should be exempt from this new policy.

I feel like my life has just been put into fast forward with these new handling requirements. I make custom hula hoops and I have to bond them, tape them, and wrap them for shipping, All of which takes about 6 hours from start to finish (with waiting time of 5 hours for bonding).

Not to mention that specifications for my orders have to be told by the buyer before I can make/ship it, and I'm starting to see some of them get upset that I go ahead and make the default size because they didn't get in touch with me in a 12 hour window period.

For my larger custom orders I am going to have to tell the person it'll take me 1-2 days (in reality it should take me 5 days!) then just take the hit on my uploaded tracking information percentage. Other than that I am just trying to make them in time. Its changed from a part-time job I can do "whenever" to a full time job that doesn't give me a chance to go on vacation!

Its sad because I want my business to succeed, but because of these new requirements I secretly hope I DON'T get a rush because I might not make that 90% requirement.

This is my first time posting on this board.

You can still be a trs and a powerseller without one day shipping. You just won't get the 20% discount.

The 20% discount comes with one day shipping and 14 day return.

Now the time period for implementing this  has been extended.

One solution is to make what you want to sell and not do  so many custom listings. I am doing a lot of that.

You can state that your handling time is 5 days. Just upload your info within that time limit.  That is the way I read it.

This entire policy change has just ruined my business. You're all talking about losing your discount, my problem is the best match.  I have pretty much lost my entire business.  95% of my business is custom wedding packages that take 2 weeks to 2 months.  First I lost my TRS, then I just no longer got questions or orders.  Now I get nothing.  I am so discouraged.  I have been selling for six years on Ebay with a 100% rating.

I've had several conversations with customer service, emails only with canned, unrelated responses.  Apparently they want to cater to the made in wherever warehouse cheap resellers for their business and screw the little small business work for yourself kind of stores.

I don't know what to do.  My husband is retired and this is my onlty income.
