Slim 4 Life?

I keep hearing people on the radio talking about Slim 4 Life. Anyone tried it? They say you don't have to buy special food and there are no group weigh ins. Does anyone know how much it costs and how their program works? Any help is appreciated. I can't get any information over the phone. I don't want to go in asking questions because I anticipate the high pressure sales routine will start and I won't get the real information unless I am ready to sign and hand over the $$$. Thanks for any input!! Zagkitty

I'm currently on Slim4Life or Slim Genics, anyways, I love it. I went in for the free 1/2 hour consultation and there was no pressure at all. I simply told them I need to talk it over with my fiance. It cost me $430 to get started which went towards a 28 week program, That included a large supply of supplements & 2 boxes of the Thermo-Snacks which you are required to purchase to be on the plan. It's $16.00 per box but the price drops if you purchase in quantity. They offer up to 6 days a week of support for weigh in, blood pressure check and all around support. You must go and 3 times a week for weigh ins. Since I'm about a half hour drive, they allowed me to do one call in instead. It's strict because it works! It's not easy but you're guarenteed to loose the weight if you stick to the program. Your best off going to the consultation with no intent to buy to check it out and see if it's right for you. I love the atmosphere there as well! I definitly feel like they are there to help me achieve my goal. I'll check back in case you have any other Q's! Good Luck!

I just joined and haven't had my "cooking class" yet where they are expecting me to buy all their product. I am not going to do that. Come on we are in a recession. They should allow you to get them wherever it is cheaper.

It costs about 700 to start I think if you pay up front then the costs of all the suplements. It depends though on how much weight you have to loose.

My husband started this program but after a week he decided to stop and eventually went with a different program. So now stuck with a bunch of supplements, snacks, energy drinks, etc. that we don't need. I just now decided to put it up on ebay (week of 5/11/10), for anyone that may want to take a look, I think the lot is now at $61 . Here is My Ebay Link for this auction. Lisalisamm

In response to your question about the slim 4 life program, don't do it unless you are ready to spend a lot of money. The counselors will encourage you to buy the bars and other supplements, because they make commission on what they sell. As far as the plan, they make it sound like you can purchase food from the grocery store and you won't be hungry. This is partly false. The food purchased from the store is a limited supply, meaning you can only eat specific and limited amounts of fruits, vegetables, and starches. When I joined I lost 8 lbs in 2 weeks, but after that, I was tired of feeling deprived and pressured into buying supplements; therefore, I dropped the program and DID NOT get any of my money back!! Unless you are ready to spend the money and are dedicated to limited amounts of food, and can handle the sales pressure then don't do it. In order to answer your question, yes, the plan can be done without the supplements, protein mixes and bars, but be ready to be hungry; since you will be eating less than 1000 calories a day.

They changed the name to Slimgenics. Go to Slimgenics.com. Same program, different name. Good luck!

I think there is a lot of confusion about slim4life. I see a lot of posts online saying the company changed its name to slimgenics. I live in the Dallas, TX area and there are many Slim4Life centers around here (no, I have not joined, but I am doing the free consultation today). From what I have read of this program you eat your own food and they require that you buy their supplements (I have no idea yet what the cost or include). Apparently the slimgenics is only available I think in CO & MN. Slim4Life is located in TX, KS & MS. Slim4Life does have a home program. This may be some of the confusion people have had in regards to pricing and plan information. The Slim4Life website is http://slimdfw.com/ Slimgenics website is http://www.slimgenics.com/ It appears that the Slimgenics folks are the ones that own the Slim4Life.com domain. If you go here - http://slim4life.com/ it has a notice about slimgenics. Hopefully the above information helps the confusion some have had.

I saw your post when researching the Slim 4 Life diet. Do you still have a copy of the diet that can be emailed. I would really like to do more research before sinking more money into a program. Thanks.

It is just another gimmicky weight loss program with an EXPENSIVE line of supplements that you are required to take. A friend went and spent nearly $2,000 to lose 30 pounds and the supplements I googled and could have been purchased for a fraction of the cost. You can get just a good results with tried-and-true weight watchers for much less money and hassle.

Good afternoon , could you please email me the diet book (list) . I would like to see how they compare to LA Weightloss. I've done that diet before and had great results so if it is all the same I will use my old book and keep a journal. I would really appreciate it. I've already spent some time at Slim4Life and I really want to know this is right for me. Thanks alot ! Angela Cruz

I have found that the best way to loose weight is to use certain supplements . See the blog below that explains in detail on how to use these supplements www.squidoo.com/losing-weight-naturally-without-dieting

I am currently on slim 4 life. I have been on the program for 5 weeks now. The initial cost was $489 that includes 1st month of dietary supplements and protein supplements. They want you to come in 3x's a week to weigh in, and you have to keep a diary on the meat & veggies you eat. I initially lost 16lbs in 4wks but I have hit a plateau. It's been going on 2 wks and I have not lost a pound but gained a few ounces (and I have stuck to the plan). I'm considering not taking the dietary supplements any longer they are messing with my stomach. Everything I eat taste horrible and the key to the whole diet is eat protein. One of the dietary supplements called Metabolizers cost $135 for a 30 day supply, the protein bars and shakes, jello, soups...etc cost $15 for a weeks supply. It's very expensive to be on this plan, and I feel great stress going in 3 times a week and weighing and having them look over my food diary and questioning everything I eat. This is just my opinion but if I would've known it was like this I would have never joined the plan. One more thing, they tell you every week they place an item on sale, whether it's vitamins, dietary supplements..etc well their on sale but what they don't tell you is if you buy 5 at a time or 10 at a time then you get a price break. They make it sound like when you first join that you have the option to buy it on sale but don't bother to tell you that you would have to spend $100 doing that.

Its nothing but marketing crap. This actually worked for me. There is a new scientifically designed weight loss supplement called Regularis (Bb-01). Regularis is in the Probiotic called Zymbiotix. This product is unlike others in that you don’t have to totally modify your diet. Just do sensible things like eat more white meats and more vegetables. Regularis aids the body in two ways. First, it’s an effective digestive aid which means it significantly enhances nutrient absorption. This means that more of the foods you eat are going to be digested and transformed into nutrients for the body’s consumption. No more fat added on. Second, its a powerful colon cleanse. This means that all the gunk that’s built up in your colon is going to be emptied. Long term use is the key. Don’t expect some miraculous change in one week. Take it for months on end and you will lose fat. Good luck! I did it and I know you can too. I buy mine on Ebay. But its also on Amazon. Search for Zymbiotix.
