Help please?
Jul 25, 2012 06:14 PM

Hello All,  I am hoping someone can share their wisdom with me and help me figure out what to do... I used to own a floral shop and have TONS and TONS and TONS of floral supplies, shop supplies, floral design supplies and so on just stored in boxes in my house. I would like to get rid of them. I have been selling on Ebay for about a year and a half now but haven't sold anything like this before.  I'm not sure what would be the best way to go about it. Some of the items are pretty small; floral picks, etc. and some are larger; vases and containers. I was reviewing the categories and can't seem to find one that fits this type of item and don't know if I should do lots or individual items. Like I have cases of FTD floral containers; each case contains 12 of same design. Any input or suggestions you all may have would be greatly appreciated. Also, let me know if you think this kind of thing isn't really great on Ebay in general. Thank you very very much! CHristine

I would divide them into lots as for a florist and also in a lot for the home arranger....maybe the one who arranges for a church.

I know so little about ebay, I'll not touch that....but these places that sell handcrafts, vintage and supplies would be good, I would think.  Different customer base...and additional visibility.  Some have wedding sections...

Send me a message and I'll share about those other places. good luck and have fun   mildred

seems you have multiples of the same items, you could create a multiple-quantity listing.

buyer can choose quantity to be shipped together

Don't know if you still have your floral supplies, but if you do , have you tried calling the other florists in the area to see if they were interested in buying you out ?  Or what about these auction places.  They are popping up all over here in central FL.  They could sell them for you for a percentage.

I am always late to the party!  If you have boxes of matching vases you could offer them up in lots for brides to make their own center pieces as well as the floral stuff & ribbon.  You could use one & decorate it with an arrangement to show brides the possibilities while clearly stating they are purchasing  the vase (flowers etc) only, not the finished product.

best options would be find a seller who sells simular items and do what he or she does. 2nd option find local auctioneer to do it locally
