Ugh, Elena ~~ I feel your pain with the cold. I was out last week a few days ~~ all I could do was hang out on the couch. Then my 9 yr old caught it, I'm so glad it's Spring Break this week ~~ maybe everyone will get healthy!

Yeah, I wonder if her customers actually give those cards away, or keep them. They may just collect them, who knows. High Hopes has been around a few years, but are just becoming popular thanks to Splitcoast! They're in Canada ~~ the owner Tina is super sweet. She actually used to own a stamp store somewhere in WA. They just released a ton of jungle theme stamps ~~ monkeys, elephants, kangaroo with baby, snake......they have so many adorable stamps!!!

I looked them up on the internet and it doesn't look like too many shop in the U.S. sell them yet. Thought I'd look for a store to check out on our trip but none that we go by.
Have an all day computer class tomorrow just hope I can keep from coughing most of the day.
Have to get busy on Lynden's scrapbook. Have less than 4 weeks to have it done before we go. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Hi everyone~~

What a nice day we had!! Finally!! It was about 50 & yes, many people at the stores (Wednesday is my "errand" day) were wearing shorts!! That's Wisconsin, when it gets above 50 degrees everyone breaks out the beachwear!!

I just ordered a new laptop today, woohoo!!! You have no idea how painful it is to use this dinosaur 2001 super slow computer. There have been many times it almost found it's way out the window. Now I can list more than one thing in an hour! LOL!!

I just finished my "project of the month" card for High Hopes. It won't be on the website until May but don't worry, I'll remind you to look at it :) Elena, I don't think HH stamps are sold in too many stores. But the nice thing is you can order them unmounted & it's cheaper not just in price but in shipping as well. They aren't clear, they are rubber but they are deeply etched so they stamp really nice. And they are just too cute, I love working with them!!

How'd your computer class go???

Well I'm off to bed to read for a while. I've read all the Shopaholic books ~~ chick lit ~~ & I just got "Shopaholic & Baby" today in the mail!! It's nice to read something easy after a long day!!

Hi Michelle & Hissy-
Wow, it must be Spring all over. Was gorgeous here. Considering only days ago(Friday) we had a wild hail storm and snow a few days before. I'm so ready for warmer weather and I love the longer days.
My computer class was great. In fact, I even was able to understand it all and stay with the whole group. I so worry about that. I don't do the bookkeeping end of it at work but it still all made sense. But sure was a long day - 11 hours.
Started to work on Lynden's scrapbook tonight after work. So figure by the day before we leave (23rd) I should be done.
Got the last thing from my SU order. They were out of stock on the scalloped circle punch. Finally got it today in the mail.
See ya all later

MANDNWI wrote about "alice", I too have been watching her and wow, can't believe people spend that much but they are exceptional. Surely her customers can't be sending them, are they framing them or scrap booking them? Anyone know much about her?

Hi all ~~

Just got a new laptop so I'm sure I will be making lots of errors in this post!! What a difference from my ancient desktop!! Hard to get used to the mouse, in fact I had to plug a regular one in ~ too much new stuff at once confuses me, lol!

I don't know much about Alice, but the stamping website I frequent (Splitcoast) had a thread going about her. I don't think her customers send the cards out, I think they collect them. Her cards are okay, but she uses the same layout over & over, I don't see anything that great (at least not $26 great!!) except for the fact that she cuts everything out, which I hate doing, lol!!

I just got over the flu, had it ALL last week. Started late Monday & I wasn't even up to taking a shower until Friday!! I know!! Yuck!! I'm finally feeling completely human again, whew! I am so far behind on everything around here. So what am I doing? Playing with my new laptop, lol!!

I haven't looked at her feedback, I assume it is good. She obviously knows her business. Just started last week myself but I need another style than hers or different client base, she is too good - Claire..

Hi everyone! I used to mask all of my designs and usually would stamp the card cover as well as the 2 inside pages. Too lazy now! I'm waiting for my Stampin' Up star punch. Finished 5 spring cards last weekend and have about 15 more to do. I have my tiny rescued bunny, Pickles here with my giant grumpy bun, Gwen. Trying to get them to bond :_|

Here are pictures of Gwen and Pickles. Pickles is about 1/5 of Gwen's size and weighs around 1.5 pounds. I was unable to get a picture of them together. Hoping they will become friends!

Hi everyone ~~

Cute pictures!!!

Hope everyone's April is going well. Mine was okay, until today when I found out my husband will probably be going on strike. Um....okay....I work one day a week at an ebay store, which I was probably not going to do during the summer because of my kids. I have no idea what's going to happen, or what we'll do if they do strike. Guess I'll be getting me a real job :( And I was just accepted to be a clerical/aide sub for the next school year. I was so excited, since younger ds will be starting K. I would hate to give that up :( Still plugging away at selling cards, not making anywhere near what a certain other seller does. Not the one I told you about before, but there's another one ~~ I don't think I can link her current auctions but do a search for "handmade delight" under handmade cards ~~ this woman does amazing stuff & I can't believe what she gets for her cards!! There's one listed just yesterday ~~ 6 days left on the auction ~~ & it's up to $51.99!!!!!!!! If I could get that for my cards I wouldn't care whether dh went on strike or not!!!!

OK, enough woe-is-me ~~ I have been thinking of you guys & I know I owe you some cards ~~~ seems all I make these days is stuff to sell, nothing just for fun. I hope you're having some great weather ~~ it is supposed to get down to 30 tonight ~ brrrrr. Just cold enough to kill my flowers that have started blooming! Happens every year. The joys of living in Wisconsin!! LOL!!

Hi again ~~

Where is everyone? Hope you all are having lovely spring weather. Lots of storms here, but I'll take that over snow anytime!!

If you're interested, my card is on the High Hopes website for the Project of the Month set. Don't know if I can post a link, but it's just HighHopesstamps dot com ~~ click on "POTM" & my card is the bottom one ~ I feel famous :)

Hi Michelle: Sorry about the possible strike! I have cards ready to mail, just need to add notes. Writing notes and letters takes me so long!!! We had 70s temperatures on Sunday, now we are back to 50s :( Will get a card in the mail to you soon!

Hey Hissy!! No strike, the contract went through. The contract actually kinda stinks, but it's still better than a strike! We've had really nice weather here too, I've even planted a few things already!! Hard to believe another school year is almost over ~~ I don't remember the time going so quickly when *I* was a student!! LOL!!

Michelle, I'm so happy the strike didn't happen. My husband said he would mow the lawn and trim bushes this weekend while I lounge with bon bons and watch him work!!!

Hi Lynn!!

I'm in Milwaukee ~~ fairly close to IL but unfortunately I know nothing about what's in the area. I would suggest going to my very favorite stamping site, SplitcoastStampers, & posting the question on their forums. You'll get answers in no time!!!

And welcome ~~ fun to have someone else to chat with!!

Hi Michelle, great to hear back. I was born in Milwaukee. Love it!! My last job was selling gifts to retail stores and Wisconsin was part of my territory. I spent a lot of time in the MIlwaukee area. My aunt and uncle lived in Port Washington... till Jim died. Then my aunt moved to Rockford and is now livig with me.

Can't wait to get started stamping, playing with clay and mixed media..just don't know where to start. If you have any great ideas or suggestions... books, magazines, videos... etc etc, websites. I'm like a sponge taking it all in..

I'm an old fart (61) and retired (after two unsuccessful back surgeries)... I was a foster home for Ragdoll cats.. and have 4 of my own.

So that's a little about me. I'd love to co ntinue emailing with you..
Lynn
