Paypal is a good tool, but US Sellers want an iron-clad guarantee that payment will be returned to the buyer Hi from Germany.
I can't understand why I'm not automatically a verified Paypal member when I'm a verified eBay member already. Ebay has checked my ID card (live, at the eBay University at Nuremberg this year), so what more does Paypal need to get me verified? And don't tell me I could get myself verified at Paypal, too. I know that. But now that Paypal is an eBay company, I would wish a Paypal account that is automatically verified with eBay verification, and insolubly attached to the one selling account you verified. That would create more trust. (Of course you should be able to have more than one account.)
Another topic:
For sellers in any country, it would be very educating to show them on an easy-to-understand page how simple it actually is to fill in a customs declaration form. I know from eBay Germany's boards that many people who have never done this before fear a lot of paperwork - which simply isn't true. So maybe you should show how easy it is, using the USPS forms as an example. (Maybe USPS will assist you there.)
With the introduction of Paypal in continental Europe, international trading has become quite easy, and I would sure appreciate it if more US sellers would ship internationally, and I'd sure buy more if this was offered in their auctions. I stopped asking questions to sellers who ship "US only", but simply don't buy there. That's sad, because I missed some items I really wanted.
