Why were ALL Int'l DSR's excluded-not just Shipping $ & time?

The shipping cost and shipping time are really the only DSR areas potentially affected negatively by International buyers misunderstanding of higher costs and longer time. There is no factor skewing perception of Item Description and Communication between domestic and international buyers that I can think of. That's potentially alot of DSR's to lose in those catagories.

Can make or break eligibility for Top-Rated 100 transactions and $3000

Kind of like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Why not just eliminate the shipping DSR's from the international ratings?

Hi easternfunkystuff!
Due to language differences, we have found differences in Item Description and Communication DSRs from non-US buyers compared to US buyers, although the difference is not as drastic as with the shipping DSRs. In addition, our all-or-nothing approach to non-US buyer DSRs greatly simplifies our (and sellers') ability to calculate DSR information.
Thanks!

Well it sure impacted me drastically!

WELL OVER the total minumum in sales and # of transactions, apparently more than 2/5ths of them were International or 2/5th's of $$ sold ...and so I am SOL even tho "raised" standing currently with stellar DSR's!

Was it that all 5 star-rated $400 sale to China that ruined a possible $180.00 OFF my FVF's and will plummet me down to some netherland of search standing??

Bummer!

Simplified, yes.
Clearly unfair, yes.
... and discourages International trade.

This really needs to be re-considered.
It is possible to factor in some sort of compensation for this penalty.

Yes, eBay want to kick out all overseas sellers. eBay is crazy, it's revenue is now 50% from non-US sales. I would like to see how many eBay's stock price will drop when all our overseas sellers gone.

Or- use international sales in Total transaction count, just as "silent" transactions- that will be better representation of sellers performance than throwing it all to the dogs just because evaluation tool has not evolved.

For some sellers, it will be helpful to see the yearly total lows that includes international - see how they stack up. Is that possible?

Properly managed, International Buyers give the BEST feedback & DSRs b/c they are so friggin' happy you were willing to ship to them and not rip them off with expensive tracking options!!!

Before this forum window closes, let me also say that descriptions are generally NOT misunderstood with international buyers - especially with vinyl records, etc. There exists an international grading system.

We deserve to be credited for those DSRs.

Sorry for the brevity, just trying to respond in time!
