Motivating Sellers? How about LOWERING FEES?

I am very unmotivated to list anything on ebay anymore.
We do not get the traffic - blame it on economy or whatever - and the raising ebay fees are getting ridiculous.

Having to pay 8-9% of sold items, plus the Paypal fee, plus if you want to attract Buyers you offer free shipping...

You either loose your profit, or if including all these fees, your prices are sky high.

I'm back to selling offline, or my own website or using etsy. As a seller, I have to pick and choose where I spend my advertising dollars, and frankly, ebay doesn't do it for me anymore :(

NO, No, no more ebay "lowering" fees. every time they do that it costs me more money. Like April 2010 when I had to upgrade to a premium store at $50 vs my $16 basic store to "lower" my listing fees from .03 per listing to .05.
And this latest "lowering" of fees from 12% on purchase price to 11% on shipping also is costing me a lot since I sell a lot of low cost items where shipping cost is as much as the price of the item. on $1.75 item with $1.75 shipping my FVF has gone from .19 to .38. I am eliminating these items as soon as inventory is gone but their "lower" fees are putting many sellers out of business.
Though ti would be nice to actually see some lower fees from ebay but it will never happen.

Always remember that there are ZERO changes on eBay unless those changes benefit eBay!

Examples:

Remember ---- "Our Lowest Fees Ever"?

Did your monthly bill go down after that one?

Remember ---- "We've lowered your upfront costs of selling on eBay"?

Did your monthly fee go downafter that one?

Remember ---- "100 (now 50) 'Free' listings each month"?

Did your monthly fee go down after that one?

Yeah, there's a pattern here.... a pattern of changes that end up costing YOU (the Seller) money!

Free insertion fee went with higher FVF...it's only good for the people not calculating their actual cost.

You're mistaken mandatory fees with the 'optional fees.
