If I choose NOT to accept returns (especially for buyers remorse), will you provide me with a box so I can explain to my customers that returns will be reviewed on a case by case basis?

Hi Peace_Kitty,
If you choose not to accept returns, then you will not be required to accept returns unless the item you sent out is signifcantly different from what you described in the listing.
We do not encourage sellers to adopt a case by case returns policy as it becomes very subjective for the buyers. You either ACCEPT returns or DO NOT ACCEPT returns, there's no midway.

"Box" meaning a place to put additional wording besides, NO Returns.

We should be able to explain our return policy to our customers either way.

Also, the return policy isn't easy to find - it's hidden with shipping and payments?

I disagree - there is middle ground.

Buyers remorse is not a valid reason to accept a return.

Buyer "rented" item and now wants to return item for a refund is NOT a valid reason to accept a return.

Buyer spent too much money and wants to return item(s) for a refund is NOT a valid reason to accept a return.

Buyer used item and "accidentally" ruined item is NOT a valid reason to accept a return.

Buyer files a false claim and wants to keep the item and get a refund without returning the item? I would want my item back to inspect it against a false claim.

Buyer contacts me that item has a flaw that I didn't notice IS a valid reason to accept a return.

Buyer contacts me that my measurements may have been off IS a valid reason to accept a return.

So basically I will have to clutter up my listing with my own wording if I decide not to accept returns?

It has to be subjective to buyers otherwise there is no balance!

The text that buyers will see on the View Item Page when you choose not to accept returns will be "All sales final (contact seller if item isn't as described)". It's a great idea to further clarify your return policy in the "Additional return policy details" text box when you list but make sure that it doesn't conflict with eBay policies...especially eBay Buyer Protection. It is a bit hidden and you could include it in your item descriptions for more visibility if you prefer, but keep in mind that this might make for alot of work to update if you ever change your policy in the future.

If I choose NO RETURNS, there isn't and "Additional return policy details" text box Will this be added in the future? Thanks!

So if a seller says "no returns" and the buyer submits a frivolous SNAD where they initially admitted to buyer's remorse via eBay Messenger, will eBay use their own admission to support the seller's stated "no returns" policy?

Oh! Good catch. I'll look into this as part of the enhancements we are working on. Thanks so much for the suggestion!

Yes, having stuff like this shouldn't be in the items description, as it clutters it up, however, as pointed out, it is 'hidden'.

The same thing goes for the customs and duties verbiage that sellers are required to put into a listing description if they sell international and want a neg removed if the buyer is mad about having to pay their own customs charges.

These two items should go right onto the 'bid confirmation' page or pop-up, where it belongs.
