I had some plans today but reading about Suz and her workouts made me too tired to do anything.

OTOH - this cat was "inspired" to start some clean-outs.
Anybody wanna help move 57297 pieces of fabric from my stash?

SNIPER-KITTy- We charge for "free advertisement".

At least you counted correctly.

DEE- There is alot of things happening in CA right now.
MEG WHITMAN has a bunch of million dollars to win that governor position.

That alone make me think........

Just how much are you willing to spend to get a title you never had?

And if you are willing to spend such amount......how many of us that you will be serving.......would you sacrifice to keep the title?

Right now......I hate ALL elected officials from the lowest level to the highest office.

I hate most news agengies because they are bought and paid for by the politicians.

I see a revolution coming but it can only be won by taking no prisoners.

WE have to elect a complete new government......reguardless of party......on every level.

How else can we remind them that they work for us?

What is the worst that can happen by firing them all and hiring a new crew?

If they are as good as they thought they were......let's see if they put in a new application.

I want my elected official to stand up and say.....we are in debt and no matter what I'm not voting for a bill that spend our money to study ant reproductive actions in a south american country.

-Pat-
57298 dollars we should be able to charge for our post

Pat, there are several politicians here that aren't worth the powder it would take to blow them up. They have been in office so long they consider it to be their birthrights. They have fortunes stashed away for campaign expenses and it is next to impossible for a newcomer to beat them. I agree, stuff can't go on like it has but finding a solution will be hard if not impossible.

California has always attracted weirdos who run for office. Too many of them get elected as well. I like to think that their current situation may result in healthy change but I doubt it.

I work for change at a local level and like to think that I have made a difference or two. Probably dreaming.

Sorry, I forgot to welcome Sniper Kitty. I don't think I have the energy to move much more than myself from sunroom to computer with a full cup of coffee in my hand. 57300 minutes of being lazy coming up.

Good morning,
the sale was busy, with several customers running in to try and grab the 1820's writing desk, which was a beauty...and will not add my uninformed opions of elected officials, one of which is a judge, that was a former ADA and told my mother, that my Dad, must of just "spaced out" when crossing the street.
post office and hopefully I will get some listings done..

Yes, I might have made a grab for the desk too!

We met some family in Pella, the cool Dutch community.
Had lunch at a super chinese place. Yeah, I don't understand why its there but I'm glad it is.

Bought some amazing meats and cheeses from a neat shop. And how could I not get pastries from the Dutch Bakery. If you've never had a Dutch Letter you are really missing a treat.

I see we're under a winter storm watch for Monday. This is some year isn't it? 57302 wishes for an early spring.

57303 flakes of snow expected here too. And wouldnt you know, the roof at the thrift has started leaking! Had a guy come give an estimate this morning, he said somewhere in the neighborhood of 10K to do a new roof. I'll get a couple more bids next week, then we'll see what happens. It's a good thing we had some bequests from deceased volunteers and put them into a couple CD's, because it looks like we'll need to cash ONE of them in.

Still working on exercise. We didnt go yesterday because we had to go into Hays right after Dermot got home and we got back later than planned, so wellness center was closed; but we did go this morning and plan to go again tomorrow after Mass. I'm very glad I see the Dr on Monday; my hip is killing me and I'm going to ask her about any improvements to pain management. Otherwise, I'm not sure how long I can keep this up.

Dutch letter..sounds like a mafia thing, but, nope, never had one, describe please..
Suz, is the hip a nerve pain,I have heard that some exercises work and others inflame..
The only decent chinese place is PF Changs, in town and while good, I think it is a little pricey..
Working in Orange Park this week, yuck, it is on the river, but the ride is about 30 minutes on the highway and if we don't miss liberty, the traffic is worse as a large navy base, is right down the street..hope you guys stay warm.

Yes, part of it is nerve pain. Part of it is arthritis, and pain from the degenerative disc disorder. I had an annual physical scheduled anyway, but plan to ask the dr about specific exercises. I am hoping she'll prescribe at least one or two sessions of physical therapy where the PT can show me the best ways to use some of the machines....resistance levels, etc. That's the downside to the wellness center....it's owned by the hospital (which also owns the clinic where my doctor practices), but it's not staffed, so there is no one to show you how to use the machines....UNLESS you happen to use them as part of physical therapy.

Well, I hope that the Dr, can help you out, the cat has a similar condition and at one time, used, an inverted cot, not sure how much that helped though..
Okay, there has to be a way, that we can protest, the use of geriatric rock bands for the superbowl, it is a huge embarrassment and must be stopped. With the talent available in this country, it is mind boogling to use these former bands, however great, they once were..

Suz, if I recall, you have had back problems for most of your life. I can't imagine how you do all the things that you do! I sure hope you get some relief.

Confession, we didn't watch the Super Bowl and I just went to msn to see the ads. They're the best part anyway in my book. Not a football fan at all. I wouldn't even know which bands to suggest I'm such a fogy.

Dee, you are not the only ONE who did not watch it. We did not have the tv on at all Sunday (of course, Dermot left for work at 1:45).

I kind of enjoy the old bands at halftime though....really enjoyed the Stones.

Yes, I've had back problems my whole life. I'll go for PT on Friday, so we'll see what they suggest. I need to contact the doctor that was doing the shots about further pain management, which is going to be a hassle since he's in another town.

Well, the cat may need a head check, the house is large and has a fair amount of stuff, but she has told the next door neighbor, that she would sell a lot of her stuff too, in the house, as we are short handed, a couple of kittens out of town and ONE, who broke her ankle on Friday, running 2 sales, will be a little tricky..
Rain coming in, hope you guys are not snowed in, are you getting more..?

Good Morning,

No school yesterday and probably none today. Lots and lots of snow and today is super cold. For sure Frank would have to crank up the big old snow blower if we wanted to get up the driveway. Today is a bird count day so will keep the coffee pot going and sit on my butt to watch birds. Getting good at it 'cause I've had lots of practice this winter.

57310 inches of snow and more to come....
