Final value fee?!?!

Nov 3, 2009 12:33 PM
You have got to be kidding me! I sold something and have to pay almost 20. just to do so? That is rediculous! Ebay, please change this. It's very decieving when you charge a small insertion fee and then all of a sudden when you sell your taken advantage of. I love buying off of ebay and selling things from time to time but paying 20. just to sell something is way out of hand. Does anyone else feel this way? No wonder CL was created.../end rant

Is it the paintball gun for $187.50? That's only a little more than 10%. While I'm an Ebay basher, I'd gladly pay 10% all day long for $200 sales. Think you would have got that price on CL?

If you carefully read when your are going to start the auction when you are ready to submit it, if it is a buy it now it will show you an estimated cost of the final item. Currently the percentage is 8.75% for regular buy it now and auctions.

Remember ebay is always interested in their bottom line not yours.

Was this one of the 5 free listings per month? The final value fees are 8.75%, up to 20.00. I try to list low value items for those first 5 then list the higher value items.
