In the next several days, a new upgrade to the My eBay beta will be coming. For a short time, as the upgrade rolls to all the servers that run the eBay site, you may see the old or the new interface as you use My eBay beta.
As a result of your feedback, we’ve made some significant changes. For example:
- Items are no longer mixed together and sorted only by time. Rather, the traditional containers of Bidding, Watching, and so on, are returning to pages like the All Buying page.
- The Summary page (formerly My eBay Today) and the All Selling pages are back.
- You can more easily scan the pages for information you need at a glance, and you can now sort with a variety of columns.
- You can close the sections of the left-navigation menu that you don’t want to see.
Because this is a beta, there will be continued improvements coming in future phases. For example, future upgrades will improve the following limitations:
- The containers on pages such as Summary and All Buying cannot currently be moved.
- To see more items other than those shown on the Summary, you must use the left-column navigation menu for now.
- The “Period” drop-down does not yet hold the setting across sessions (i.e., it reverts to the default of 7 days).
Those are examples of things we will improve.
We will soon be turning the “Send Comments” link in the beta on to gather your comments. We scan the thousands of emails that come through via Send Comments, aggregating comments into categories that we can address in future upgrades to the beta, but please remember that we do not reply to individual emails.
If you have a specific question (rather than a comment) or want interaction with other members, please use this discussion thread. This will now be the thread we will monitor for the My eBay beta. Please let us know what you think!
