Anyone else feel discriminated against regarding guns?

I know, the topic is probably pretty universally felt, but eBay cancelled one of my auctions for Winchester 94 loop levers (the John Wayne-style) because I had an image of the lever on my rifle. The reason given for canclelling the auction was "Your listing was ended as it included an image of a firearm with the loop lever listed. eBay does not allow images of complete firearms in listings as they suggest the firearms are in the sellers' possession, and potentially available for sale. This may not have been your intentions, but we have decided to end all listing that contain images of guns. I am sorry if this may cause any inconvenience but I hope that this will help you with your future listings regarding gun accessories."

Then it went on to say that I am not being discriminated against, which is of course completely laughable. This is a whiny knee-jerk policy -- maybe they REALLY did cancelled my listing because you could print out a picture of my rifle, roll the piece of paper into a tube, and poke your eye out with it....? God knows. If I did not sell so well on this site, I would have run away screaming long ago.

*sigh*

Yep, I know and I can sympathize with you. I think if you spend some time poking around at 2nd Amendment Freedom Sellers, you'll find enough accounts of members' accounts being suspended.

OP, since you're a member there, you can already look around. For those of you who aren't, feel free to join and poke around.

I had an auction canceled because I was selling a cleaning kit for a rifle that was banned in California. No picture of the rifle, I don't own one, I just mentioned what the cleaning kit was for. Those attorneys that they are paying $250.00 an hour (or more) got to do something to make Ebay think they are worth their keep. You can sell porn on Ebay but not a collector Daisy bb gun. When I get something like this now I go to gunbroker.com they are very active and a good site with reasonable fees.

I believe in guns I get sick of people acting like guns are a nuisence. I do not hunt I grew up with a dad that was a cop and a gun dealer. I like to go to target competitions skit shoots.

But one thing of selling guns on ebay. Is I honestly didn't know it was allowed. Until I read this thread here. One question when people sell firearms on ebay. Does that seller have to have a signed letter stating it will not be in their name anymore?

They absolutely discriminate.  Here is an example... I listed the trigger assembly for an SKS.  I only listed it because there were 2 other identical parts currently being auctioned.  Wait, it gets better... to make sure it was not a wording issue, I cut and pasted the exact description from one the other ads.

Well, mine gets pulled down... the others still remain.  The ONLY difference in the listings was that the other two sellers have feedback over 3000 and I am a newbie.

Ebay tried to state that because they are a California Company, they go by California law and deem the SKS an assault weapon.  (Everyone knows the SKS is not fully auto so it is not an assault weapon).

Well, the other two sellers of the identical trigger assembly for the SKS are located in, ..... CALIFORNIA too.

I am contemplating a lawsuit... discriminitory practices... restraing of trade... breach of contract.  I documented and reported the other two items, so if we do go to court... well, Ebay is cooked.
