Looking for a good fishing knife - don`t use K&R knives?
Feb 17, 2012 12:50 AM

Stay away from this firm. They sell knives from a site that looks serious, but they don`t send the sold items. The strange thing is that they are allowed to use Paypal and creditcard transactions. I ordered a knife on krknives.com 22.th of september. I still haven`t got it!! When i contact them they say it is sent, but nothing happens..

RE: FISHING HOOKS. Hello... I have 4 questions that I'm hoping someone can answer:

1. What's the difference between "triple" and "treble?"

2. What's the difference between "size 2" and "size 2/0?"

3. What's the difference between "size 1" and No. 1?"

4. Are these salt water terms?

Any help is appreciated... Thank you!

I bought what I thought was a Lees Miami flush mount rod holder and listed it to sell.  I have received an email from a potential buyer who told me it is "an outrigger rod holder and there should be two"  Is he correct?  Have I overpriced it ($49.95)?  Please help.  I have it currently listed so you can see the whole listing.  Thanks so much.

Re: Need some help on a collection of old poles and reels
Oct 26, 2012 11:32 PM

Hello everyone i am a member of Ebay And i live in Florida and i did not know that they offered this chat about fishing. I have a problem my Father died and he was heavy into fishing and he left me his collection of fishing gear. I have not fished for a while. I too  love the sport, just don't have the time. Anyways i was going through all his rods  and reels. And i came across one that was autographed by Tam Mann who owned fish World in Eufaula Alabama. And i never heard of  him until  i was getting prices on his collection. And he passed away in 2005. And i wonder what this reel is worth now.It is a Graphite 650. And all of these other fishing rod and reels are quite old. And i need to know who i can contact to get these appraised. I have been trying to find these online and i am having a hard time finding these. All of these are real old and in good condition. I figure someone or several of you  are more educated and have more knowledge then me. Because i am only 49 years old

Hi, everybody.  I am a volunteer with a nonprofit animal rescue.  We sell donated items on ebay to raise funds for food and vet bills.

We have had 2 tackle boxes donated that contain a LOT of old fishing lures.  Don't know how old they are, but I suspect some of them may be vintage since the gentleman was elderly.   I have attached photos of two of them, one labeled Tiny Torpedo and one labeled Jitterbug.

I need some advice.  What is the best way for me to list these - singly, I suppose?  I do not really know that they are vintage.  Some have labels, some do not.  There might be 50 lures in the tackle box.  I am not knowledgable about lures and cannot really research each one of them - would like to post them while outdoor sports listings are free.  But I don't want to sell them for way less than they are worth either, since we are raising money for homeless pets.

Should I try to clean these up?  Or leave them alone?

Also, how do you pack these up to ship?  Obviously they have hooks!

Thanks for any advice you all can give me!!

This gentlemen is correct the fishing rod section is being abused with sellers bidding up their own items and purchasing them to relist them for higher than retail and with 300% markup on shipping.  That being said the reels and lures go for fair used market price at most times. I try to buy used reels and cheaper rods as clients are hard on gear (they drop alot overboard). Buyer be very aware in the rod section and good luck in the rest of the fishing site. BTW NOBODY pays more than half retail for a used rod. If you do you are wasting your money try the related fishing websites for your purchases.  GOOD LUCK and tight lines.....Watermen

Hello all. I am not sure what reel this fits. I looked through all the listings on ebay and it is closest to the 114 reel but the clicker might be a bit closer to the edge on mine. Any experts out there that can positively identify it?
