I really don't understand what anyone is talking about in here, Someone frightens someone cause they put something helpful on here. Does anyone talk normal here? What is the conversation on? Intelligence Anywhere Here?

Anyone know where I can find any limitations on the "Free Listing during September" offer on Ebay?

Before I list any items I wanted to know the extent of what "free" really means. Thanks Deb

Love the calculator
tried the modify rates option to see what 8.75% would do but it didn't modify. Option not active?

Check out the new listing fees that ebay has jacked up. Does the calculator for ebay raising their final value fees?
If you don't know, they are raising the fees by 3.5%, from 5.25% to 8.75%, on the first $25 and a .25% on anything over that. So you will actually pay more when your auction ends than you did before and the 35 cents you save on picture gallery is little consolation.

Please consider moving to Epier.com free to list auctions. I have 7 years of experience selling there and it is a wonderful alternative to eBay.

They don't change the fees (free to list always) or the feedback policies there!

There is strength in our numbers...

Epier is one of the top 6 Auction sites in terms of # of listings. Check it out:

That Calculator is awesome!!!! Thanks!

Did you all realize that between the eBay "Sales Tax" of 8.75% and PayPal's "Sales Tax" of 2.3% alone, the "Church of Ebay" takes more from the coffers of it's believers than the Catholic Church or the Mormon Church, which are happy with 10% each and offer a place in heaven to boot?

Add to that the listing fees eBay charges, the $.30 PayPal charges on top of their sales tax, and the requirement in some states to collect that state's sales tax as well; as a sellers, we'd have to do like the stores and charge a significant mark-up just to not take a loss on an item. And this is exactly what is happening on eBay, the days of finding a GOOD bargain have become scarce for me. I, for one, did not sign up for this ride to break even on a good day or to fill corporate coffers. I just need some xtra cash occasionally...

Please see why Paypal will hold what it deems to be "high risk" funds...

How EBay's PayPal profits from its float
The money-transfer service earns interest on funds in its custody, but analysts say it's a drop in the bucket compared to eBay's larger revenue picture.
