Been off eBay for a year now - Looks like nothing has changed with Paypal

I have not sold on eBay for a year now. I left Oct 20th 2008 because of the PayPal only mandate as I did not have a merchant account and still do not. Just looking at the forum posts it seems like nothing has changed with sellers getting fleeced using Paypal. I know they have new pay services introduced, but looks like the same problems abound there too. Any comments are welcome.

Why would someone log on a year later to say, "I've moved on," unless they hadn't?

Yep just curious if the scams have been fixed yet.. looks like they have not. I do alot of consignment so its not just a direct loss. My customer has to be paid and telling them I got ripped of is not going to float their boat at all.

Or, perhaps OP is the only one here with a brain.

I’m quite sure you will see sellers leaving in droves once they have to start paying taxes on these sales (BIG LOL) That’s after paypal and ebays outrageous fees (not to mention lost fees and lost high dollar merchandise due to paypal allowing these scammers to prevail every time) There will be nothing left but Chinese and Hong Kong garbage because its not even worth filing a claim for a refund on such crap after return shipping costs for international. Welcome to the new and improved eBay!

By the way, I’m proud to say I’m one of that very small fraction who does feel this very same way!
