Oh!! It's a glitch!

I thought maybe that's what the new pages were supposed to look like.

Wow! How do we know if our transactions are SPP eligible then?

IS it a glitch? I thought if it said "OK to ship" with the green check-mark, that meant it was SPP eligible?

Help. Please explain New PP transaction Page and SPP eligibility

From the UA:

11.4 What are the eligibility requirements for PayPal seller protection?

You must meet all of these requirements to be covered:

* Ship the item to the shipping address on the “Transaction Details” page.

o You may access the “Transactions Details” page by logging into your PayPal Account, selecting “History” and then selecting “Details” for the transaction.

* Follow the shipping requirements described below.

* Respond to PayPal’s requests for documentation and other information in a timely manner.

* The transaction must be marked eligible or partially eligible for seller protection on the “Transaction Details” page.

o If it is marked eligible, protection for both Unauthorized Payments and Item Not Received will apply. If it is marked partially eligible, protection for only Item Not Received will apply.

o Items sold on eBay will be marked eligible even if the shipping address is marked unconfirmed. Generally, items sold on websites other than eBay will be marked eligible if the shipping address is marked confirmed and partially eligible if the shipping address is marked unconfirmed.

* The item must be a physical, tangible good that can be shipped.

* Your primary residence, as listed in your PayPal Account, must be in the United States.

If it is not marked at all? I would assume it is not eligible. Perhaps it is just a glitch?

Help. Please explain New PP transaction Page and SPP eligibility

Actually, no transactions of mine have been marked eligible or not eligible for the last few months, until the last couple of weeks. Now I am occasionally seeing whether addresses are confirmed or not, and the page marked eligible upon occasion.

I think it may make a difference whether you are a part of the expanded protection for powersellers or not. I think they are now expanding or are getting ready to offer that same protection to everyone aren't they? Which of course, means another transition in how things show up.

I will say this. I had a chargeback for unauthorized use recently. The page was marked ok to ship, but not marked eligible or ineligible. Paypal covered me for that one thank God, because it was $358. But I had opted into the advanced protection, so I don't know if that made a difference or not. All I know is, I was protected without it being specifically marked eligible.

That transaction was 8/31 and PPs terms have changed again since then though. It's all so confusing!

I will also send you a screenshot if you need it. None of my Paypal transaction Detail pages are showing if the transaction is SPP eligible, partiall eligible..etc.

Just a green checkmark saying ok to ship.

I know texasbaywatcher stated they sent you a screenshot, but if you need another one, two, three, four......let me know. :)

I have several. I've gone ahead and shipped, because I do not want to hold customers up......but am hoping all is ok. This, as you know..........is a concern.

Thanks for coming here . :)

I don't know what you all are talking about there is No Seller protection. Paypal will ALWAYS side with the buyer. In other words if the buyer decides they want their money back they get it no matter the reason, Paypal just refunded a buyer that destroyed a necklace after i refused a partial refund. I have moved beyond mad and am filing frud charges against the buyer and paypal, the way I see it if enough fraud charges get filed something will be fixed.

PS don't always listen to the helpful folks on the boards most are ebay employees sent here to guide us all to a better buyer experience. Which is true I have not bought anything here in month and I feel much better. The sellers I used to buy from are still selling to me we just don't bother ebay or paypal with our little transactions
