PayPal generally requires the buyer to return the item. Did that not happen in your case?

When listing an item, you are warned that your payment may be held. The following text appears on the eBay Sell Your Item form...

Select at least one approved electronic payment method listed below.
  • Learn more about recent changes to the eBay Accepted Payments Policy.

  • PayPal may delay the settlement of funds to ensure smooth transactions.
    - Learn more about PayPal's Payment Holds Policy.

You are not required to accept PayPal... eBay sellers can accept Moneybookers, Paymate, ProPay or merchant account payments instead of PayPal.

    Get real, Sandy.

Which option would be available to the OP based on their sales here? All but one is available to higher end powersellers only.

Likely it is PayPal or you don't get to play. The eBay Sell Your Item Form, even in the "advanced" version or whatever they call it now will not let you list unless you fill in the PayPal information.

There is nowhere in the payment flow that buyers are given the information needed to ASK THE SELLER. I have a neg..."Buyer Only Lists PayPal, what a RIP"

I get to keep that neg for the next eleven months. Buyer never asked, was put off by CHECK OUT.

It's my understanding that only ProPay requires the seller to be a powerseller. Both Moneybookers and Paymate do not have such a requirement.

If that is not correct, please post where you find that information.

Sellers on Ebay can accept Paymate. There's no minimum anymore and funds are not held and as far as i know, there's no rolling reserve.

And you are unpaid to be inaccurate and uninformative. :) It seems your rant is that Sandy is doing her job well. I don't care if Sandy is working for PayPal PROVIDED she is being accurate and informative. The few posts I have seen from Sandy are all professional and informative. Much more so than when I have tried calling PayPal's customer no-service line and finally spoken to a real live human over there. In any event, if you think Sandy is inaccurate or mistaken in some respect, please do let us know.

    Aloha!

It seems to me that the burdens of PayPal's reversal and chargeback policies disproportionately fall upon more reputable established sellers who remain open for business with active PayPal accounts, as opposed to drive-by scammers who close shop and empty their PayPal accounts (leaving nothing for the buyer to recover). That is why you hear so many horror stories from sellers who believe they were unfairly treated. The real scammers never complain, they just run away and quietly wait for another day.

As an online seller, I NEED PayPal. There really is not much of a choice - yet. Over 90% of my buyers choose to pay via PayPal. If I stopped accepting PayPal, I would lose most of my business. So I accept the risks in return for much more business.

As a buyer, I use PayPal because it is very convenient and much safer than other online payment providers. And because it does not cost me anything.

What I don't like, however, is when PayPal turns a blind eye to seller tricks and games designed to make buyers give up their PayPal rights. The vast majority of buyers are honest and do exercise their PayPal rights quite responsibly.

NO, I don't work for PayPal and I have had disagreements with them in the past. But I am not ready to stop using them, either as a seller or buyer. At least not until a better alternative comes along. ;)

    Aloha

The point its that she pretends to be an "uninterested" party. When she's not. No wonder why she always speak wonders of Paypal a company that scam and mistreat its customers. She's paid to do so.
Doesnt matter how many links and accurate information she provides the fact remains the same: Ebay and Paypal are not honest.
    Hasta nunca!
