Alternative to Auctiva?

Feb 8, 2010 9:48 AM
I've gotten really fed up with Auctiva and am looking for a similar website that's either free or costs about the same. Any recommendations?

I just use it for the image hosting and I list my ebay items on there. I don't know what else it does. I don't want to pay Ebay's added fees for more than 1 picture on clothing items.

there are a fe alternatives. one is inkfrog. but they are costly.

Free or on the Cheap!!
Why not learn some basic HTML, upload all your photos to photobucket use the free account or upgrade to the paid version. and insert your own photos. then you can have as many as you want and not pay ebay any extra. You can design your own template, purchase a fairly cheap one or hire someone like me to create your own unique template.

I am a member of auctiva, i only keep the account to test code for clients before i upload the client work to their account.

namebrandfinds - as Jackie mentioned, you can use free templates and PhotoBucket.com to host your images.

There are many free templates that were donated by members on this forum over the years. They are archived here:

You have an eBay store. You are entitled to 12 free pictures in the new eBay pricing starting March 30.

The images are on eBay in their main image gallery. You do not have the HTML code to insert in your listing description. You have to use the eBay Picture Gallery.

If you have to upgrade to the eBay Premium store, you get Selling Manager Pro. It uses eBay Sell Your Item form and has saved listing, inventory, relist rules. It has PAY scheduling, only major disadvantage.

Big advantage is that is always up to date with eBay changes.

If you have to upgrade to Premium store for reduced fee, upgrade your store now, you get the free pictures now.

You can replace Auctiva with SM Pro for most functions.

You can also use eBay Turbo Lister which is hard disk based. And get the free pictures now.

Check it out. There is a learning curve to SM Pro and Turbo Lister but if you used Auctiva, you have an idea how making a listing works.

Remember, Auctiva will insert their gallery into your listings. You will need to disable this to stop them from inserting in your SM Pro listings after they are submitted.

If you need more info, ask in the Selling Manger boards.

Since you will probably have to upgrade your eBay store, check out the eBay options first.

Photobucket has a nasty virus right now. Stay away, it may infect your computer.

Not just the viruses and malware. I tried to use it and when I hit continue on the free page it locked me into paying them for Pro with paypal. I wasn't given a cancel option nor an option of any kind to get out. Won't touch it again.
