Welcome to "Milk Glass You Shouldn't Buy for Resale". My name is Robin Delargy and I collect Milk Glass. In the course of my journey into this obsession, I have scoured thrift stores, garage sales and eBay (just about every day!) searching for the next ‘fix’ for my addiction. I have spent hours pouring over books and auctions trying to identify my ‘finds’ and driven the good people of this board to distraction with a constant barrage of Milk Glass, much of which was a bunch of junk. Like any new collector I bought everything I could find, if it was cheap, but as I’ve learned more I've found myself becoming more discriminating and much more aware of what Milk Glass commands in the eBay marketplace. Although I am a Milk Glass buyer, not a seller (I sell in an unrelated category altogether) it is my aim to help others avoid some of the common ‘newbie’ mistakes when shopping for Milk Glass for resale. Purchasing for your own pleasure is an entirely different matter! I buy the 'el cheapo' bud vases by the boatload to give away with roses from my garden. I buy inexpensive serving pieces for everyday use because it's no big deal if they get broken. All of these pieces have their purpose. *Disclaimer: Much of the following is strictly my opinion. I don’t claim to be an expert on anything.* I am breaking this down into chapters and will post as I go. Please feel free to interject with corrections, comments or more examples! OK, let's begin the parade!
