Scammed 150 USD, Help Me Save me 2000 USD.

Hey all,

I got back to selling on eBay. This time I have something big. You see, I sell informational products, or guides. These guides are worth the value I put them for. I recently sold a guide for 2000 USD five minutes ago. I don't want this to end up a scam. The guide is for obtaining high level items in an online game. They are not in any way the game itself. My guide on getting these items are unique in a way that it provides you with the item instantly. It is a written guide but it is unique and worth 2000 itself. You must understand gaming is a huge market, and people obsess over this stuff. I am a gamer, and the time spent getting the items, or even getting the way to get them is worth the 2000.

Note: All of my guides are unique and are resold on ebay. I put in about 1500 dollars for this 2000 guide hoping to resell. The guides can only be used once, and I only tested to see if it worked. Kind of like a pin that expires once you use it.

I sold a guide valued at $150. Once I got the money, I got a reverse charge from paypal. My account lost the claim because of no evidence because I emailed the buyer the information instead of actually sending through mail verifying it.

My plan, mail the guide through USPS with a tracking no.

There are scammers out there, and they may claim that the guide doesn't work( many will use the guide, and claim it was not as described).

I put this disclaimer.

"Disclaimer: This is not a physical product. This is a guide that will be mailed to you. This guide only works once and was tested to work. Once it is used it cannot be used anymore. Sold As-is and it fits my description."

I don't think eBay allows non-tangible items to be sold anymore. Your idea about printing and mailing them is probably the way to go.

Take pictures like you are selling to people that can't read. Write descriptions like you are selling to people that can't see.

I don't understand this at all.  It honestly sounds like you were the scammer here.  You are charging $2,000 for a guide on getting party hats in RuneScape, which are a rare item with a finite supply in-game. Also, you say that it involves some sort of one time use code?

That is complete BS.  You CAN NOT get these items with a code or guide.  It sounds like you were either:

A. Trying to scam people into thinking you could get them a rare item that you can not possibly get for them, or

B: Selling the actual digital item, and wording it like this to avoid getting in trouble for breaking eBay's rules against digital items.

In either case, you deserve what you got.  Sorry.

:)

So true... this is pure and simply CONFUSING. How can you think it is OK to sell an intangible item at that price and get away with it??? Wow!!!
