We are all really shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Bob Hebeler, our Vice President of Seller Development. Bob was involved in a cycling accident on Friday and died from his injuries. Bob was extremely passionate about cycling. We know that he died doing something he really loved. Bob started at eBay in the Spring of 2000. He was one of the pioneers of Category Management for the company. He also led our Community Development team. Recently he led the Seller Development team as well as our team in Canada. Bob was really passionate about working with the Community. He always wanted to make sure that your needs were considered in everything we do. Bob's team works really hard on developing strong relationships with the Community. Bob was also very well respected and liked by everyone here at eBay. Bob was the first Vice President I worked for at eBay as part of the Category Management team. He was extremely down-to-earth and really cared about doing the right thing. I also work closely with Bob's team and they are all really great people. We're in touch with Bob's family. He cared deeply about his family and was just able to spend time with them recently on an extended family vacation. If you would like to send condolences to Bob’s family, please send them to: Marie Hebeler and family c/o eBay 2145 Hamilton Avenue San Jose, CA 95125 We will all really miss him. He touched many people's lives. Please join in adding your thoughts about Bob. Rachel Community Development
