It really does. I've been selling/buying on eBay for 10 years and the system is in the worst shape for sellers I've ever seen it.

 

Now the system doesn't allow sellers to leave buyers negative feedback, how is that fair? I recently had a non-paying buyer and I can't leave them negative feedback to accurately reflect the buyer's reputation, that makes no sense at all. Whoever made this decision to not allow sellers to allow negative feedback is a moron. Now buyers can parade around buying whatever they want, not pay, and have no real recourse. This system is like wiping before you poop, it makes no sense.

 

eBay has really gone downhill

What really "sucks" is that when you file a non pay on a buyer and they pay during their 4 days . . . . They can leave YOU negative feedback. Also, when you give a complete refund without a case filed, the buyer can leave a negative. Heck, the buyer can leave a negative no matter how honest you are. Some are there trying to ruin your reputation. I was given a negative once because the buyer said that no one should be 100%, only God is perfect . . . . . Where's the justice in this?

I've run up against some of these same things.  I was astounded that I could not leave negative feedback for nonpaying buyers.  What is up with that??  Buyers that have an issue, don't bother to contact you for some form of resolution and then leaves negative feedback, become a serious thorn in our scores.  I've had someone that didn't bother to READ that I didn't ship to the UK, leave negative feedback because I didn't state that in each listing.  It was in the terms section....how much more clear can one be.

 

Just as big of a pain is the fact that eBay seems to be promoting "bottom feeder" buyers.  I nearly get a daily email asking me if I will take 50% of the sales price.  Our these buyers so clueless as to understand we are a REAL business here?  Very frustrated with this threads topic..

I just got a negative feedback yeaterday from someone who sent me a message cussing me out becuase I made a one word mistake in my listing.

 

A MONTH AFTER THEY BOUGHT THE ITEM !!!

 

Now my percentage is down because someone got drunk and needed someone to mess with.

 

Also I posted something about not being able to leave negative feedback for buyers last week. Where were you guys thenn ?

Yeah I got a negative after I refunded and paid the return shipping. I was nothing but polite too. So I am -5.25 plus lose top rated seller status which will cost me thousands now. And for what? For doing everything right and then some.

I am sorry but Ebay basically makes me feel like a trash. I literally feel abused by this system. I am sick of being bullied, blackmailed and straight up robbed!!

You want an example of how wrong the new feedback system is? I had a buyer complaint about an item. Buyer returned the item, opened a case the same day and left negative feedback 2 days later while the case was still open stating that I refused to send a refund.

 

In fact I sent a refund and the case was closed in my favor. The buyer flat out lied, thereby damaging my reputation.

 

When I contacted eBay, forget it. I was told the buyer had a right to express their opinion. What opinion? It was a lie and eBay's own Case Resolution system ruled in my favor.

 

But do I, as a seller have a right to express my opinion in the buyer's feedback rating? Of course not. What a mess.

Yeah, and you have a "buyer" who wants a refund but refuses to return the item so you, the seller, escalate the case to ebay customer "SUPPORT" (what a joke), ebay forces the "buyer" to return the item and then makes a ruling in THE BUYERS FAVOR ?!?

 

Sucks is a nice word for the way ebay treats sellers.

Ebay has handcuffed the seller simple as that. There is no recourse. Who cares about the opinion of someone who is trying to cheat the system or extort there needs to be a review comity and feedback removed in many cases. Someone has to protect the seller or ebay will lose sellers

As result of the claim eBay decided on my favor and refunded the whole purchase. I find their decision not fair, as I am keeping the tool.

Not only feedback! Claim decision board makes to many of these calls.

I agree, the system is flawed to say the least. I sold a part, and the buyer left me neutral because the item came "1 day late, and the box was damaged, but product was fine, and intact."

 

The funny part was 1 month later he contacted me asking for help as he needed the VIN of the bike the headlight came for the DMV  to register it in his state now. I politely told him I felt neutral about helping him do anything after that ordeal, and wished him the best of luck with his problem.

I call feedback on Ebay the worst  thing that was ever created. 

Few years back when they changed management on Ebay, things simply got worse and worse.  I don't believe that story  - Ebay listens to sellers, because those are only words. If Ebay would listen to sellers, this place would be the best place to sell, but it is NOT.

 

Starting from feedback - no justice and this is discrimination! If Ebay says that we sellers are protected - think twice! Because of not fair fbk policy Ebay gets more scammers, more users and more crappy buyers! They simply can pull all the crap on us sellers and of course we will do everything to please the buyer to eliminate negative and headache.

 

Not only they automatically take paypal money when case is open (right or wrong) but also the seller can neg us on anything, and afterwards Ebay does not do anything about it!!!! Removing a  negative happens one in million if it happens. Ebay washes hands from everything!!!! 

They just collect funds, pretend things are done right and probably laugh at us sellers too.

 

Star system is crazy - no communication and I get one star, shipped item within 24 hrs, i get one star for delivery within 3-5 days.... Ebay should start educating new buyers how not to abuse the system instead of watching us sweat.

 

No wonder there is so many negativity here!!! Those rules suck!!! 

 

It came to that once.. A buyer bought brand new item from me, nothing wrong with it as my items are in super great shape. 30 days after she sends me email saying... I have gotten the item and i used it, washed it and now it does not fit well - i need to get my money back, i am not happy.... oh hell, brand new item, for a month used and she wanted return!!!! OMG!

This is what Ebay is now... buyers are using the system, laughing at us and Ebay just sits there and all they can say is WE CAN'T REMOVE FEEDBACK BECAUSE IT'S BUYERS' RIGHT.... yeah Ebay - very heroic! ---- this place with some competition is going down soon - more sellers are leaving, and they are pissed!!!!!! no wonder.....
