is it necessary to have inventory?
Jul 19, 2012 12:01 PM

I've uploaded all my product into inventory in SMP and then I uploaded my listing templates.  Unfortunately, I can't seem to link my listing to my inventory using File Exchange.  I really don't want to go through each listing and revise manually.  So, is it really necessary to have items in inventory?  If someone has found a way to link the two together using File Exchange, I'd love to hear about it.

Hi atomic-imprints,

You don't have to have inventory if you don't want that feature.  With inventory you can do some additional tracking and wouldn't have to recreate your listings.  But it's not required, you can just upload all your items right to active instead.

Thanks Ketty.  Is there a way to link my inventory to my listings using the upload feature in File Exchange?  I do like some of the features that SMP Inventory offers, but I don't want to manually link all my items to my listings.

I have several hundred more items to list when my listing limit gets raised.
