You must ship a package or "parcel" measuring at least 1/4" thick (most bubble envelopes qualify) for delivery confirmation.

You cannot have DC on normal first class mail envelopes.

Just part of the "game". I ship everything in a bubble envelope even if it will fit in a regular envelope and mail with a stamp. (example: 1 yd shade cord)

Problem is, this adds approx. $2 to the cost that buyers don't realize is required.

Hope that helps.

veni..vidi..velcro I came, I saw, I stuck around!

Yes, the "Buyer Protection" adds $$ to buyer's costs, and $$ to Ebay coffers.

I was selling small, unique items that fit into a regular envelope with shipping included because I could use a stamp.  Now, because of the tracking number requirement, my buyers costs have increased by 40-80%.

This has also cost me money because I won't meet the 90 % tracking number requirement and won't get my discount.  More money for FeeBay, higher costs for the buyers, and higher expenses for the sellers.

Here's another one....."local pickup".  OR, a vacation rental.  In order to "protect the buyer", I guess I will need to mail these buyers something so there will be a tracking number.

FeeBay is all about the pennies.  They know they add up....and it is so easy to extract them from their customers.
