"Just missing the HTML edit function" ?

With either Firefox or IE on a Windows computer (See? I remember you're one of the evil Apple folk.) I see an image of a ABC with a check under it just to the right of the font family and fint size pull-downs. Immediately to the right of that is an image that shows HTML and to the right of that is an image of a double quote character. Next there's a vertical line, then the smiley face, the picture icon and the paper clip. If you click on the HTML button you get a popup editor that allows you to write directly in HTML.
I'm guessing from your description that you have a popup blocker (and maybe an advertising blocker) that's mucking with the popup editor, the popup image insertion tool and such. Maybe you could ease up on the security for this site (forums.ebay.com)? Or switch to a more standard browser for here... (I think I'm using Firefox on my Linux machines, so it's likely available for the newer Macs as well.)
I just tried it on an Ubuntu system using Epiphany and using Firefox with the same display and behavior as here using Firefox and Windows. Epiphany was having refresh problems with all eBay pages, but Firefox was smooth. Online Stamp Collections

Hi Bill, I have all those buttons, etc. So I'm going to use regular HTML to post an image. An 1870 cover posted from Switzerland marked for transit through Belgium for London. The Franco-Prussian War had started and German troop movements through the Alsace area prevented this from going up the Rhine and across to Belgium. Therefore, the clerks rerouted it through France and Paris which the Germans had not yet occupied. This is very unusual. Swiss Razor Cancels -

Bill,
All I have to do is remember how next time.
Thanks for your help.

The only really tricky thing with using the HTML editor to insert images is that it doesn't stop you from putting in an image that's too big to display fully in the width available. That gives an image that's vut off on the right.
Here's an example...

charlietuna… Yep, Jan 20 1977 was “Peanut” Carter’s inauguration.
The “quiz” picture was a free frank of Schuyler Colfax, Grant’s first-term VP and Speaker of the House under Lincoln and Johnson. It reads:
“Free Schuyler Colfax

Where's charlietuna's post from earlier today? He shared an image of an Americana series issue on card, and now, some hours later, it's gone.

Jay - the board doesn't get so many visitors since Paul cursed it with his Eastern European voodoo.
Actually I think that now we have everything spread out over so many threads, there is probably more posts on this board than we used to get on the single thread on the older board, it just seems less because of the format.

I don't see what type of dispute he could have opened anyway, as a seller it would have only been an unpaid item, of which you would have immediately had proof you paid. What an idiot.

Response back from ebay seller feedback escalator:
"Thats funny, i had talked with ebay and they told me to let the person know that no feedback had been left. They also said that if no feedback was left after that, that they would make a claim and escalate it. Which is why i sent you that, and there was no threat, i did what ebay said to do. Thanks for the feedback!!!"
So who is to blame, the seller or ebay who confuses the seller? My head is in a spin.....Appears to be happy with a neutral, too!

Looks like our UK Post Office will make a mint after tonight with 6 Golds in one day! Also P.O.'s reckon to have all the winners stamps at the P.O. tomorrow (Sunday). Seems Olympic fever has totally gripped our country with todays results and looks like more to come over the next few days.
But spare a moment for Michael Phelps who bowed out tonight with his 18th Gold, what a guy! Cheers

An opinion is needed......Should I pack up all my US 32-39 cent
definitves (100's) that I don't need and give them to various stamp
clubs, veterans groups, or just chuck them into the trash container. I've spent time picking out what I needed, have sorted
all out, varieties also and now all all are residing in a FedEX box.
Little expense was used in aquiring this mess in the first place.
Does anybody/group really want to pick through these?

I try and go the donation route (Phil Kumler at Unique Stamps for Kids is my current best choice) with that type of material. I figure if they don't want it they can make the decision to toss it.
Phil is running (or maybe just working) the kids area at StampShow next week. Online Stamp Collections

Well, here you all are!
Will any of the regulars (or old regulars who are now occasionals) be attending the APS show in Sacramento this week? I'm planning to be there, and it'd be nice to meet and catch up, or else put a face with a name and meet for the first time.

I'm planning on being there all days. Driving down on Wednesday and back on Monday. I'll be doing some volunteer work off and during the show, but will be happy to meet up with anyone else who's there! Online Stamp Collections
