As many of you know I have been unable to update my site for nearly three months now.  I have still been scanning and adding

some very nice items as well as printing and remounting hundreds of pages.  I'm not sure when I will be able to upload to the site and it is starting to drive me nuts.  Just to much to remember and many new additions lost in the pages.  I have been expanding most all of the early European pages. Often expanding one page into three.  The great amount of color and other variations are crowding the Scott Specialty pages badly.   That combined with full size scans I think will make for a much nicer presentation.

It just occured to me that I could do some stamp of the day or page of the day postings like I have done in the past.

Here is a page I recently completed adding 3 of the stamps.

I think it's ne of the prettiest pages out there.

Also I completed the next set of Greek airmails in mint which are also quite beautiful.

Page today is my first page for Cape of Good Hope triangles

Has pretty much always been one of the most favorite series to collect. Note: the last two stamps at bottom of the 3rd page are the common fakes. Detail is just good enough now to see the obvious differences.

Thanks Peter I have not added any to them in a long time. I would like to get so more shades and some 3 margin copies of ones I don't have. The biggy of course is the 4p Woodblock. Quite a few ragged ones in there but it's hard to get rid of any.

Todays page is the first page of Central Lithuania Doubt it is a favorite of many, but there are some rather crude but interesting and pretty stamps. I recently bid on the missing set, which seems to be quite scarce. I believe the set went for around 70% of cat.

Two pages today from Chile The first is the first page and the second is my favorite page from Chile. One needs to be very careful filling those blank spots on my first page. They are usually misidentified as the cheaper ones, except the Burnt Sienna which is quite distinctive.

The Burnt Sienna is also the only one I'm missing from my first page... Someday I'll get back to Chile and finish it up. :)

Todays page is my very weak first page to my otherwise pretty weak China I would guess that over 50% of the stamps I now have were collected when I was around 10 years old. When I started up collecting again in the late 80's China was already on it's move up regarding catalog values. As I was much more interested in U.S. and Europe at the time I pretty much ignored China and am still doing so.

Don Someone else is welcome to it. I would like to get some more of the nicer early sets but that is about as far as I'm probably going with it. The language barrier is just a little to much for me to want to deal with. I have a few volumes worth of various Chinese/Taiwan material with little organization and is most likely going to stay that way.

Todays page is the first page of Costa Rica The ones I am missing are rather tough and I seemed to have been outbid on the ones I have found <;~`) There are many other numeral ovpts on this first series. They are not the correct size or shape of the genuine overprints. I'm not sure if they were used for some other purpose or are simply just about the worst overprint frauds out there in stampland. I havn't updated.

All in all Costa Rica had some very beautiful stamps

Costa Rica in a long time. I see I have 30 or 40 pages mostly complete that I could add so I will probably scan them in the near future.

The last two sentences of my last post got all jumbled up and should have read...

Todays page is my first from Curacao.
I need to put a lot of work into this part of the Netherlands. I have about 30 pages I could add that are at least 80% complete thru 1976. So I have them on my list to scan. But that is a far cry from the 98% completion I'm trying for with as much as the world as possible.
