Roessler Ecuador Postal Stationery US Mail?

Does anyone have any ideas about this cover that shows an Ecuador postal stationery envelope with a 1c Franklin postmarked New York 1910?

I am familiar with Roessler his First Flights, forgeries and cinderallas, but I haven't found anything about him creating philatelic covers by sending foreign postal stationery through the US mail, especially unconnected to any event.

Would this cover be of any interest to collectors?

Thank you
