Ebay has seriouse server problems and they are not tell anyone!!!

Called Ebay this morning after 30+ hrs. of no sales. Got the "everything is OK....nothing is wrong with our servers" I thought that I had done something to tick off the Ebays Gods and they were punishing me. Of course nobody at Ebay told me that everyone else was having issues. Apparently something happened around the 15th of the month as that is when I saw sales....and feedback take a nose dive. I had $8500 + in sales the first 15 days of this month and just over $2000 as of today the 29th...and $800 of that was a local pickup soda machine!!! Not my normal sale item. EBAY, you are not in the business of running your own servers. From what I understand you use to outsorce your servers to companies that actually know what they are doing. Then in 2009 you deciced you could do it yourself. Your site has never been the same!!! Either learn how to take care of your servers running them yourself or go back to outsorcing that part so busuness owners like me can get back to doing what we do best, MAKING YOU MONEY.

In addition to all of the search problems I've mentioned in earlier posts, now the "enlarge" function is not working most of the time. Searching for things to buy has always been a lot of work, especially with all of the reproductions and fakes, but with all of these search problems, and the loss of displaying the "ending time", and Firefox not sticking on 200 results per page, searching is NO FUN AT ALL!

My new sales report for last week showed I had 6 sales. But it fails to show that 2 have not been paid for yet. I am getting soooo discouraged. Next to no views and no sales and I have lots I could list, but if I am not selling or getting paid, then how am I suppose to pay the fees? I feel like crying...

Odd sales...but sales non the less. Coming mainly from the west coast and late in the evining....just around quiting time for West coast customers 5pm Ebay time. I must be on the west coast servers right now. It would be nice to be on a server that served the whole country alowing sales all day....you know, like it was before April 15th. In any case I SUGGEST at the seller Suggestion box daily now. I am polite when I do so as they tend to bounce the rants back to you stating you did not submit a SUGGESTION. So, I politely SUGGEST that the turn my selling abilities back on and keep them on. Keep me off the rolling blackouts. I also suggested that they put me on a server that is open to the whole country and not just the west coast.
Time to tweet all this out so Ebay does not think that I am slacking.

Fastjag - Hate to say it, but your sales will never be what they were. Like I have said, this started for me back in Sept '11 and has never recovered. Gross sales since last Sept have been 20-30% below the same month one year prior. Page views are 50% lower than the same month one year prior. Good luck.

I don't know how to feel about the sales right now. I want to say that things are picking up. I have been getting quite a few days of what would have been normal before April 15th. However, every time I make a statement about things LOOKING to be improving then Ebay hits the light switch again. The other STRANGE thing about my sales lately is that they are all coming in the evening after 7-8pm Eastern time....that would be 4-5pm Ebay Official time. Are the buyer only coming from the West coast after they get off work???? If so, what would my sales be if the server I am on allowed all the time zones to see my items??
I caustiously say things are better with 7,8 and 5 sales respectively for the past 3 days. Keep in mind I had a 38 hour outage before that!!! So??? Who knows!! With luck the tech department will leave for the weekend and FORGET to tune off the server they have me on. Might get a normal weekend which is usually 15-25 sales. We will see.

What is wrong with this site?
I'm trying to relist 1500 listings and it is taking forever as my gallery picture will never show...as I'm trying to revise everything including the large image as required come fall..talk about ridiculousness...
Go down the laundry list of issues JUST on this forum..and it's enough to make one skip down...
Good gravy... Does it get any worse?

I GUESS IT COULD GET WORSE ENOUGH TO SKIP TOWN...SALES COULD DROP EVEN LOWER THAN 50%
Let's hope it doesn't...it would be more than I would be willing to deal with..

Their picture servers have been having problems for the past 3 or 4 hours. About half of the lots I tried to look at wouldn't load the photos, or enlarge the photos. I gave up. Going fishing instead!

Let's hope they get their picture fixed faster than the other huge issue going on here...it would obviously affect their bottom line..so that would get fixed quickly...unlike the small select sellers who are suffering from loss of sales up to 50% or more...that would not affect bottom line..hence why it is continuing to go on...hmmm
Alaska...fishing sounds better...AND a good ole fish fry...fun stuff!

Here is a statement from a blog regarding Best Match on ebay from the person who is in charge of the search area...
Once a new algorithm looks good, it’s time to test it on our customers. We typically start very small, trying it out on a tiny fraction of customers, and comparing how those customers use search relative to those who are using the regular algorithms. As we get more confident, we increase the number of customers who are seeing the new approach. And after a few week’s testing, if the new approach is superior to the existing approach, we’ll replace the algorithm entirely. We measure many things about search — and we use all the different facts to make decisions. It’s a complex process, and rarely clear cut — there’s facts that help, but in the end it’s usually a nuanced judgement to release a new function.
Yep...it started last Sept for some....and slowly it would seem to be expanding hence the more sellers that are complaining of 50% loss in sales....see, some had it in Sept..some in Feb...mid April..me end of April..some June 1st...
I don't think this looks good for improvement...

All my sales the last two weeks have come either from auctions or from returning customers who purchase BIN's. Watchers mean nothing now for auction items however. I can have 12 watchers on an item and not get a single bid.
I bought some items yesterday and got a taste of what buyers are probably experiencing. When it took me to paypal to log in and I entered my password NOTHING happened. No error, no rejection, just nothing happened. It took 3 tries for the password to take. Once it took and I went to pay I got an error message from paypal. I wasn't sure the payment hadn't taken to I went to my paypal and saw no payment. I then had to go back to Ebay to start the payment process all over again. Same password issue, but I was allowed to pay on the second try. But how many buyers would have given up at the password stall, or the failed payment and error message?
No wonder sales are down; nothing works.
And pictures, Gods picture issues out the wazzo.
I was an idiot to ever trust ebay with the majority of my business.

I called CS 2x since noone would return my e-mails. I gave an entire run down of everything that was wrong for me.
Although I was told they are investigating my probs. I haven't seen any improvement as of yet. Just the opposite_____t_____
-I remember not too long ago when I told friends I was a seller on Ebay-They laughed and said "that's not a real business!".............................I think they were right, as of now.
-every sale I have is in a 2-3 hour window. 1-3 days out of the week.
C.S. Tech was nice enough to call back, but now it seems worse.
Revising, editing single items my pages take over 30 seconds to load to the next.
I never visited these forums before the problems either-I was too busy selling.
Will Ebay fix this soon???????????????????????

I think I might be done here.
-I'm going to give this 2 more weeks. And if there is no light at the end of the tunnel, I'm going to let my listings finish and that's it for a few months.
-They take my TRS and shove it.
-I'm also going to demand a partial refund on my fees. Time to call the D.A. if my request is not met.
YOU WON EBAY! BRING IN THE REST OF YOUR WHOLESALERS!!!
-Good luck to you guys! God Speed!

I AGREE! eBay is telling me the same thing - no problems on our end! I have lost my watch list - over 100+ items. I am having low sales. I cannot find my items when I search the eBay site. That new form for listing totally S _ _ _ _! There are no drop down boxes for item details and in my item description box, it is written in a foreign language - I believe it is HTML or Java Script. I can't even list my items because of this new selling page that they are beta testing and it SUCKS!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - eBay is my full-time job. I take it very seriously and that past two weeks have been HELL! Low sales, slow slow slow navigation through eBay, lost my whole watch list (eBay said it was deleted by them accidentally), horrific new beta testing for listing page.
THIS IS HORRIFIC!!!!!!!

Just contacted CS on their SELLER SUGGESTION LINK....now the listing process is messed up. Tried to list something and it comes up in what I believe to be the SIMPLE form to list. I use the advance form that allows HTML. I click on the change form button but nothing happens. I can't list in my style of listing from this SIMPLE form. It does not have a box for FREE SHIPPING. It does not allow you to UPLOAD PHOTOS!!!! NO PHOTOS???!!! You can not work with HTML. WHAT IS GOING ON EBAY!!! It's bad enogh that my sales are down but now you have fixed it so I can not list ...or at least no list with any kind of professionalism as I have always done. THIS SITE SUCK!!!
ANY ONE ELSE HAVING THIS ISSUE? Do you list using the more complicated form and has that gone away for you? ANYONE??

In the long-distant past, I had occasion to speak with intelligent (now gone) eBay customer service reps who also sold on the site---it is possible that interested parties working for eBay are seeing new items as they become listed.

Pages won't load properly. Taking 30+ seconds to load to the next.
-Mainly Selling, Uploading, Revising, searching inventory.
-Free auction tomorrow? Maybe I'll be able to to list 10-20 max at this rate!
-I had a 35% off sale -not too profitable!

Sales are Dead. I've sold 2 items on my TRS account this week, a total of 8 items this month. I'm starting to think ebay is dead or slowly dying.....I think I hear a faint heartbeat!
Glad to be listing elsewhere, this has become a total waste of time. Oh, and here it is free listing day again. Whats the point, nothing sales.

I keep telling everyone to get together and check each others auctions, do a count for each other and most importantly do a search for each other at random times and during peak hours and selling times. Sundays etc...
Some of you need to get together from states that seem to never buy from you.
Then document and screen shot these findings.
