Does eBay monitor these discussions? They do when they are told about them. There is another thread on this discussion board about these "Server Not Found" issues. The eBay techs have been pointed there. So far it's a record with 3 different eBay reps responding, but only Avery seems to have a clue and has been trying to find the problem based on the info we give him.
If so, where are they? On the other thread.
Why can't they give us a timeline for a solution? I think they first have to admit it's their problem, and they haven't done that yet. Comcast (no surprise) and Microsoft are pointing the finger at eBay. EBay says it's Comcast, but now other isp's are beginning to have the same problem, so.....
I just got an email last night from an eBay rep responding to my complaint about this earlier last week. I even sent the url to the thread discussing this in my report. He told me "no one else is reporting this problem" so it must be just me. This is an indication that eBay is in denial. As such, don't expect to see antyhing about this on the system announcements. Much less a timeline to a solution.
For more info, check out the "Server Not Found" thread on the Technical Discussion board.
