Jan, sounds like my family. My Mother was an only child, her Father was an only child and her Mother only had one brother. There were just us two girls in our family, my younger sister and me. We have no parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles left. It's just we two. In one way that is good. My sis and I were never close. In about the last 15 years we have become very close. I think we each realized that each other is all we have left.

Adrian- You know exactly how I feel. Both my grandfathers were dead when I was born. My Maternal Grandfather dropped dead at 47!!!!! He and Grandma had 13 children!!!! Mama was the 2nd oldest,her older sister, Annie is 95. She still lives alone and keeps her apartment spotless. She and Mama were so close. My Paternal Grandfather died at 76. Daddy came from a family of 9. All of daddy's family is dead. Aunt Annie is the only one I talk to. Sorry, I don't know why I gushed all of that unmeaningful stuff to you!!!! Love you, Jan

Jan feel free to Vent as the Americans say on here - you are amongst friends.
If you look at the Link on where I live again go to the left hand and select Bratton Fleming from the drop down menu and you will see the funny old Morris Dancers. They dance in our main street for various occasions.
Hiya Adrian I hope you are doing well.
I have probs breathing this evening so I am not staying long just to say hello and good night.

J. Keats

Ode to Autumn

SEASON of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eaves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease;
For Summer has o'erbrimm'd their clammy cells.

Who hath not seen thee oft amid thy store?
Sometimes whoever seeks abroad may find
Thee sitting careless on a granary floor,
Thy hair soft-lifted by the winnowing wind;
Or on a half-reap'd furrow sound asleep,
Drowsed with the fume of poppies, while thy hook
Spares the next swath and all its twinèd flowers:
And sometimes like a gleaner thou dost keep
Steady thy laden head across a brook;
Or by a cyder-press, with patient look,
Thou watchest the last oozings, hours by hours.

Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they?
Think not of them, thou hast thy music too,—
While barrèd clouds bloom the soft-dying day
And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue;
Then in a wailful choir the small gnats mourn
Among the river-sallows, borne aloft
Or sinking as the light wind lives or dies;
And full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn;
Hedge-crickets sing; and now with treble soft
The redbreast whistles from a garden-croft;
And gathering swallows twitter in the skies.

Audrey Dear, I am devastated I missed your call. Your calling always just makes my day and lately I need something to make my day. I have now lost 25lbs for no reason, not dieting or anything. Have a Dr. appt. Monday and worry what he may tell me. Blessings to you dear one!

Audrey- Thank you for your beautiful words on PRT. Thank you so very much for your prayers for Hugh.He still needs prayer because we still aren't sure about the outcome. God knows and HE will decide in fact he already knows. God knows that we are only human and knows that if we could see the outcome of things we could not handle them. He is a just and merciful Father who loves His children.God bless you for sharing God's word and for being such a loyal friend to all of us.Love you, Jan

Audrey - Praying you are feeling a little better. You are certainly having a time of it. I seem to bounce back pretty quickly. I know my surgeon was amazed after both of my knee surgeries how well I got around so quickly.

My ticker gives me a warning when I need to get to the hospital so I guess I am prepared. As stress tests do not show my problems, I have to have a heart cath to check. As I still have some residual blockage I have to be on guard as it is a major artery.

Gotta run!

Audrey - Glad to hear it! I now have to do the dishes. I do not think they have been done in 5 days!!!

We have to go out later and purchase more pellets for the heating stove.
