Lucky, I've never been to Vegas, so I have no suggestions.

Mis, I still listened to mom in my preteen years. Maybe that's the thing: she got frustrated and out of patience with me when I started wanting to dress my own way, do my makeup, etc.

Looks like we're going to be getting a doozy of a storm soon. This works for everyone except Buddy. Poor guy's going to be scared at the first hint of thunder.

It has been years since I visited Vegas Lucky, but you can't go wrong in the eye candy department, anywhere on the strip.  Just LAVISH architecture, artwork, sculptures, lighting etc.  It really is like Disneyland for Adults. 

 So, if you are accepting requests...stop by Ceaser's Palace, and pose for a photo, with one of those hunky Centurian Guards.  

Think of them like the guards at Buckingham Palace...stoic and silent--only in mini-skirt tunics. 

You might want to book your travel through Expedia.  They have a nice interface, for booking package deals.  With airfare, hotels, and rental cars all in one package.  I used them almost exclusively for all my legal travel.  And I was always pleased with their service. 

And you can also purchase advance tickets for shows, playing while you are there.  Sometimes those show events may have relevence as to what dates you book your travel.  Nothing I personally took advantage of, since I was on business travel.

Like Jay Leno is appearing Live.  And Garth Brooks is in Vegas most of the month of October.

Okay; now I'll try to answer your post.

I am the youngest of three children.  I have two older brothers; although I was born a number of years after them.

My Mom seemed to become less intimidated when I reached, believe it or not, my teen years.  She seemed okay with those years and also most of the friends I had; but from the ages of 9-12, it was like she was trying to prevent me from developing new interests or hobbies.  She was on my case more then than she was during my actual teenaged years.

It's strange because infants and toddlers, no matter how much of a challenge or responsibility they can be or racket they make, she seems to think they can do no wrong.  She mellowed out once I reached 13 or 14; but the period prior to that seemed tense for reasons I never really understood.....and perhaps never will.

When you possess a bodily ouchie, that is chroniclly painful, it is wise to endure the pain getting worse for a bit, in order to eventually heal and get better.  Some things just cannot be fixed, by procrastination or wishful thinking....or peeing outside the litter box!   

 

If the pain gets too bad, you can always return to the pain medications.  Just make sure if you do, the next time nausea overcomes you, you vomit upon your Guy, instead of yourself.   Passive-Aggressive upchucking.    You can say..."Oops, it was an accident dear one"

It seemed strange because; for one thing, she had already raised two kids before me and she should have known by then there is a big-time difference between the ages of 2 and 11!

A few years ago; one of my brothers told me that, 'Mom's biggest problem, is accepting the fact that her kids have grown up.  She's very sentimental about it.'.

I thought to myself, 'That shouldn't matter.  Kids change and their interests change.  It's inevitable.  If she can't deal with that fact then there is something wrong with her.'.

The time would eventually come when I would start doing things like, worshipping pop singers; wearing makeup, short dresses with platform heels, and so forth.  Pre-teen girls do those things all the time.  Now I didn't go to school showing my navel.  I had my limits and still do.

It's just that my mother, I'm afraid, has something inside of her about pre-teens that intimidates her.  She has raised three kids and if she hadn't learned that they change as they grow; then I'm afraid there is something unhealthy inside of her.
