((((Vicky)))) I don't respect anyone more or less based on their financial/living situation. There are plenty of homeless who have just had a rough time and were unable to keep up payments on things. I heard somewhere that many people are less than 2 paychecks from living on the streets. I do wish there were something I could do.

Finished decorating finally. Today is cleaning, giving Buddy a bath, and resting. I feel like I may be getting the flu or something. I'm hoping if I ignore it, it'll go away. :)

Good morning, all. (((((Vic))))) Just because we all knew this day was coming, that doesn't make it any easier to take. I won't throw you a pity party, but I want you to know that I will never quit thinking about you, and I will never quit hoping things get better for you and your family. You'll be a part of my life until the day I die, whether you're able to post or not. (((((Vic)))))

((((Adrienne & Lucky)))) Thank you for your PLU, it means more then you know.

I been gone most of the day.

Went to the doctors, Told him the pain medication wasn't working. But yet he gives me another prescription for the same thing. He ask me if I would be interested in doing some Physical Therapy. Of course, I took him up on the offer. Mine as well try something different. Maybe it will help with my back problem.

He said, That I do have a pinch nerve but it's not bad enough to operate..

I told him, I have to bend over slightly just to get relief from the pain. My symstoms haven't change. That I can't stand straight up for a long period of time. How am I going to work hunch over like some 80 year old woman? But anyhow.

So I'll try the Physical Therapy and see how that goes. Can't hurt to try.

Then I went to the grocery store to get the prescription filled. I meant a real nice customer while I was there. She was looking at to buy some Aleeve. My doctor suggested I buy some. The lady (customer) and I started talking. We were talking like we were old friends. I bet we stood there and talk for at least an hour or more.

While we chatted, She mention that she takes the bus. Since I have a vehicle I offer to take her home. That's what I did. But before I took her home. I ask her if she wanted to meet my sister. She said Yes.So we went to my house and introduce her to my sister. And we all sat and talked for approx. 2 1/2 hours. Then I drove her home and meant her sister. And stayed end up staying there for approx. 3 hours, chit chatting. Both her and her sister are good people.

I don't think I ever connected to someone in such a powerful way. In a short period of time. It was like we were suppose to meet. I'm serious, we talked like we knew each for years. I was amaze at how comfortable I felt. We exchange phone number. They both invited my sister and I to a Christmas party her church will be giving. My sister and I will be going. This will be the first time I been in a church in 35 years.

As we talked, I learn that were similar in many ways. Her and her sister been living together for 18 years. The lady I meant at the grocery store is somewhat like me. And her sister is some what like my sister. To the point where I could say, That's something my sister would say.

We all had a wonderful day. We were strangers that connected. Now I call them my friends.

Good morning, everyone. Vic, that is so awesome that you met that lady and her sister! It's weird when you instantly connect with someone like that, but in the best possible way. I sure hope the physical therapy works. It really helped me when I messed up my back about a million years ago.

Re: :-x The Peace, Love and Understanding Thread :-x
Dec 4, 2012 09:24 AM

After my eyes were weary from editing photo's yesterday, I took a meal break, and watched a couple episodes of FRINGE, season 4 on DVD.

There was a story line, that made me think of some of the hypothesis, we have recently discussed here on PLU.

In this episode, there was a teenage boy, who had been diagnosed with schizophrenia, and was residing in a mental hospital.  He was hearing voices, regarding a murder that had actually occured.  Come to find out, these "voices" he had been hearing for years, were not hallucinatory--a figment of his imagination, but were mental telepathy.  They came from his half siblings, who were products of genetic manipulation, by a doctor, who had a less than credible sperm bank;)--they were all sperm donor babies.  :^O

The alterations in their DNA, performed prior to fertilization, had enabled all these children to be aware of all the other children, born to diverse parents, and werre connected mentally, like bee's in a hive.

The reasons for the murder, had to do with protecting themselves, from discovery, as a journalist was investigating the "real" research being conducted by the doctor years earlier, at this fertility clinic.

Wierd huh?  Almost as if the writers of this series, were eavesdropping on PLU discussions?  B-)

I watched the first season of Fringe, or part of it, anyway. It was a good show. I'm not sure why I quit. Moon, your post reminds me I never answered that question our Grace asked about using donor sperm. I gave it some thought and decided I just couldn't come up with an answer. While I wouldn't wish a serious health condition on anyone, there is just something about looking over at someone who is so clearly, in so many ways a piece of you that I just can't imagine not having. So, there are my two cents.

 Grace, those flowers are so pretty!

Thank you, {{{{{Headmistress:-x}}}}}

I hope *you* are finding that perfect place of rest and peace in the chaos of the world.

M:-x:-xNjoy, do you think those drawn to sperm banking have a higher propensity towards evil?

What fantastic opportunity for the g:-x:-xd if that's true!:-p;)

Have:-x is there a 'get a grip or good grip' angle to making money hand over fist?

~~~anywho~~~
*I* have been 'lead' to a New Year's resolution this year.
What a blessing.:):-x
I do not remember the last year I felt "lead". (???)
I have need of the PLU:-x though as I am lacking again in "understanding".  The resolution requires wine and *I* know nothing of alcohol.  I was hoping , perhaps Burns:-x would give me a suggestion?  Or if anyone else feels a "call" I would love to hear your thoughts!:)
  I will need 3 bottles that I can buy online.  (one to try immediately. One for the actual ceremony. one in case a friend comes by and I tell them about the resolution/ceremony)
I will actually need to do this four times total so 3 more bottles of three (9) for a overall total of 12.
Burns:-x it will be for one of the four Holy Days I want to make a resolution to celebrate and take time for in 2013 (...and perhaps commit to the practice for every year from now on?  I am not a fan of Hallmark-ish holidays but *I* long for Holy Days.:|)
I want to spend an entire day thinking about Communion the first time as I need to find my own definition and also the most beautiful definition ever written.  So I want a real wine something well chosen by one with the cognitive powers and experience to choose.  (...and real bread btw too.)  The first of the four dates will be Passover ... but if you have a wine choice that you feel strongly is better for one of the other three please let me know.
...or if anyone else has any information?
*I* know NOTHING about the spiritual properties of wine~~~
:(
The dates will be ~~~
well the "dates change" - movable feasts ... so should I say the events? will be?
I bet their is some "Catholic speak" that has a word that is interchangeable with "moveable feasts".
Have I mentioned *I* L:-xVE the Catholics!
(...and this Pope Benedict born on Easter Saturday!)
1) PASSOVER -  The Lord's Supper
Luke 2:40-41 40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and
the grace of God was upon him.
2) PENTECOST -  Holy Spirit
Acts 2:1-4
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one
accord in one place.
3) FEAST OF TABERNACLES (Feast of the Ingathering) - Thanksgiving
John 7:37-38
37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried,
saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
4) DAY Of ATONEMENT - restoration, reconciliation to the divine Cleansing through the blood of Jesus Christ
Burns:-x, if nothing comes to you that's fine.  You were just one of the four people that came to mind to ask.:)
okay next subject -
*I* was in to this 'shiny thing' about the word logos.  Or word. search search search / word word word
...in the beginning was the "word"
...the "word" made flesh
...sperm words (and all ... you got the idea:-p)
...and during the enlightening search around the internet I came upon this pretty design with a 417 in the "First Logos" position?
I assume the numbers always are changed around?
...but this is a 417 version
...but what was so cool was that the "sister numbers" were MissM:-x:-xN's 614!
aaaaawwwwweeeeeeeeee .... so  perfect.;):-x
adrienne:-x ... I want to see realism too!
Please
Please
We want to see pictures of the tree!
I have no happy Christmas stories.
I have stories of course ...
...but while some are funny? few are "happy"!
*I* NEED your tree, adrienne:-x!
It's Classic Joke Tuesday!
Why didn't the snow come to the party?
Because they were all a bunch of flakes.
:)
Grace, it sounds like you're going to want red wine, and I don't know much about that, plus I'm not Burns. ;) But I can tell you that wine is one of those things where the quality really does go up with the price. If Burns doesn't see your post, just buy a fairly expensive wine and you'll be fine.
...all a bunch of FLAKES!
L:-pL
Thanks for the tip Lucky:-x.
Maybe a "number" will come to me and I can divide it by 12 and then know what price point to purchase?
The "idea" came to me s:-x:-x:-x beautifully nuanced.
...that a number must surely already echo~~
*I* will listen.:)
The first Holy Day on my list isn't until Passover, though I'd really like to get the 12 bottles purchased by "New Year-ish" definitely by Epiphany.  And I am buying four bulletin boards to help me visualize and collect.
...L:^OL ... can't "collect" in a computer file!:-p HA!
...and I know I want four different types of wine.  Or brands.
...and I also feel that should be very dark blood red.
...but perhaps someone will enlighten me differently?  Someone passionate and intimate with wine and communion?
Is there a title for the person who chooses communion wine in a church?
...of course if it were for me, *I* would prefer sparkling grape juice but one thing I am fairly certain about is it IS NOT for me.
...though *I* have no problem with the concept or idea of thinking of the blood of Christ as "sparkling" (???)?:|
Actually *I* would imagine it as sparkling?
adrienne:-x ....How often do they have communion in your church?  Do you know how they choose the wine?
I don't know why it got so big it couldn't fit here?
Really fascinating link TempestGrace:-x.  opme of those premises, so explained have not quite sunk in yet.  My brilliant mind may be low on fuel.   Perhaps, you can explain it to me like I'm a four-year old?  ;)
I understand what they are expressing, is that each and every one of us, contains the cosmic seed within us, though every soul is unique, in how they express themselves, or the essence of "their rays"  as that evolutionary co-creator.
In this story line from FRINGE, the doctor, was not evil, per se. However, as any scientist is prone to do, he was fascinated by his own idea of what "could" be accomplished, by tampering with the genetic code. And the temptation to test his theories, led him to implant these "experiments" into a host mother to grow.   He admits, that he was touched by Hubris, in that he thought he could improve humans with these alterations.  His intent was to unlock the prior abilities, that humans once possessed, but had evolved out of--instinctual traits like in the animal kingdom.  He only learned of his unintended consequences, after the fact.  i.e. the children exhibited violent tendencies, in their efforts at protecting themselves against a perceived threat.  The first time it occured, he had been suspicious.  When the FBI showed up to question him, he presumed it was indeed his "offspring" which were to blame.  He was himself also murdered, by these children acting upon their animalistic instinct for survival.
I cannot offer you any wine recommendations either your Grace;).  I have always been more prone to indulge in my tobacco.  Thus, I am no connoiser of alcohol.  Not ever inclined to spend my money on fine wine.  I'm perfectly content with boxed Franzia.  ;)  Though it has been a couple years now, since I had wine.  The last time was when my girlfriend and I went out to Macaroni Grill, and I enjoyed wine with my meal.
Though I really do appreciate fine liquors.  I love Kalua, and Frangelico, which is a hazelnut liquor, made by Monks.  It even comes in a cute little monk bottle.  One of my favorite desserts used to be vanilla ice cream, with Frangelico on top.
Oh yeah, and check your email.
My "real e-mail"?
OK
M:-x:-xN, I didn't study much of the link having been lead there only searching for the term "first logos" or logos meaning "word" and when it coincidentally showed 417 as "first logos" I immediately thought (as you so recently wrote) that the universe (or at least some computer guy) was mocking me. :-p
....but I was quite delighted that the 614 was right next to the 417.
Not every birth-date on the calendar is represented as there's no 8,9, or 0 Only a few of the dates Jan.-July.
I wondered if a clock could be made where the numbers weren't sequential and the hour hand swung around crazy?  HA
I haven't heard of Frangelico M:-x:-xN but I will get some post haste.  It's like other alcohol and doesn't go bad, right?
I want to have some on hand for you or for when I want to think of you.
of course.
HA!:-p
of course I want that.
must have THAT!
...liquor as decor.
...I should get some cigars too.
legal please!
Can you buy and ship cigars online?  Surely. (??)
Do you have a cigar suggestion?
Ahhh I see your Grace:-x.  You locked your eyes upon the syncronisity of 417, and didn't read, what the diagram referred to?
Well, no, all dates would not be represented, on that diagram, since those numbers are related to the "rays."
As excerpted:
There is but One Truth throughout the universe, eternally underlying all and that Truth manifests itself over and over again in larger and smaller cycles, having the same factors and the same ordered sequence which repeat themselves in every mode of existence. Hence occultism teaches that the Microcosm is built in the image of the Macrocosm, that man is a miniature universe, and an atom a miniature planet. The study of The Secret Doctrine by the use of this key of correspondences consists in working out the correct sequence for each different set of factors and relating them to each other for the purpose of enlightenment.
These factors, such as the different numbers, colours, musical notes, days, planes, etc., are directly connected with the Rays, so that this study really consists of classifying a vast number of facts under the heading of Rays and then examining their relationships.
The Rays have their derivation in the Trinity, and it is essential to have some understanding of the relation between the Aspects of the Trinity in order to grasp the significance of the correspondences between the Rays.
I had just returned from my walk, on this brisk 51 degree day, and instead of eating, I got on the computer.   I had no hunger pangs, but my lack of concentration assured me it was time to eat.  As my Brit Mum would say, I got "peckish."
I presumed incorrectly, that I would have sent you the email, by the time you got around to actually reading my note.  Mocking....I tell ya.  :^O   Look again, at your messages here on eBay forums.  It should really be there now.  :8}
Cigars are even more costly than fine wine.   I've never purchased them myself. My cigar indulgences have always come by way of gifts.
Oh, liquors usually have a much lower alcohol content than other spirits.  So, if you are an inexperienced drinker, I think some Frangelico would be a fine introduction for a beginner, to actually drink, instead of shelve.   That way you won't feel reckless, about decorating with the cute bottle. The liquor  is warm, nutty and sweet.  Kinda like you!
And if you are feeling particurly ambitious, you could even cook with it.   It goes as well with chocolate, as it does with vanilla.  :-p
Hi all, frantically busy trying to get ready for the big sale here on Saturday! Lots of small orders trickling in, and I had to resupply some bird feeders to the consignment sale already :)
And they are being bought to hold rings next to the sink, and air plants as well.
Driving thru. Back later!
I may be caught up - not much said.
Wine, OK I can recommend some but specifics cary by distributor/state/venue - passover is in the spring? I have some ideas for that but not today.
Vic, people come into our lives for a reason. And it may be your season to go to church, to commune if not to worship. To find some peace. Somewhere there is someone who can get your sister started on the dialysis, which has ways to continue. Somewhere there is someone who can get you some assistance so that you can regroup. Which is what you want, a chance to regroup and start working again. I think your pinched nerve could benefit from a chiropractor but I don't have a clue how you can find one. As honest and upfront as you are, I hope your conversations with your new friend and perhaps her church will bring some relief.
Can't remember the rest. DH's new boss offered several ly8ing cheating stealing low life scum bag, er, sorry, non-options about the job. He offered half the salary and a 20 hr/week position with 2 out of every three weeks custody of the support beeper, and no extra pay for doing the support. We see no upside to this, other than a check, which, considering Vic's situation, would be a good thing, but we see the new boss getting more & more work out of DH at the 1/2 pay rate and not by the hour, but 1/2 time salary. DH has talked to a few of his contacts and there are several who are interested, and there was an opportunity that has been in the cooker for over a year with some other folks (small world, one of them is the Dad of DD2's good friend from college), and that's still very much alive. This is the one we would LOVE to have since it will be a startup with a hugely needed product that I cannot discuss.
DD2 is maybe going to be Mike Skeen's manager. LMAO, she used to date another 6' 3" redhead, broke up with him for three hours in the front yard at 2 am a few years ago.
Back to the kiln. Two more pieces to glaze, then the geometry problem of fitting it all in.
That is great news Burnsville:-x
Would be nice to have Scarlet posting here again.  And where the heck is Pins:-x?  Is she having mad sales too?  Too busy creating, to visit with us?
I was reviewing pics on my camera disk yesterday.  I found a photo I took of my clay project, I mentioned before,  The handmade polymer clay tiles.  It gave me the opportunity to experiment with many different texture techniques, and clay treatments.  Artisan's are sometimes caught up in that "mad scientist" frenzy, in testing their theories too.  ;)  Fortunately, no sentient being's are negatively affected in these fits of artistic co-creating.
The wood tray needs to be painted.  And the tiles glued down and sealed.  But here is the one with the oriental flavor.  It has dragons, chinese coins, chinese characters. Gold leaf inclusions, marbling, pearl mica "paint" powders.  I have not played with my clay for some years now.  :(
Adrienne:-x  talking about her christmas tree, reminded me, how much I loved decorating my tree.  Though I have refrained from holiday decorating for several years now too.    As putting the tree up, means that I also need to take the tree down.   I'm supposed to be focusing on getting my abode in order, not creating more tasks, on my to-do list.  I really must exercise discipline, with my tendency to lose myself in shiny things.
