Champ was in pretty good spirits and telling me one of her goats had babies yesterday while she was at clinic. Her son was tending to them for her.

I want to thank Cubad for the use of her thread we hijacked for a bit.

I have had a number of people offer to help with taking up some donations for Champ. I am not sure how to handle all this, I do know we must stay within the Ebay rules here on the boards.

I will not try to name everyone who has offered to help as I would be really upset if I left someone out.

Champ and I discussed it and she said she would not be unhappy if I were to accept any funds and then forward them to her Mother or her. I don't know how that would look to people. Kit and Sheila mentioned something about setting up a paypal account or I think Sheila mentioned something about using hers and then forwarding the money.

I need help here to decide how to do this and how you coordinate it. I was never a great fan of taking up donations on the board as folks come here to have fun.

Champ is in a bad spot at this time, This girl has taken care of herself without any welfare since losing her husband. She is not one to ask for help, but at this time she can sure use some to help offset travel expenses and such. She is already $1000 in the hole after borrowing money to pay for the MRI. She had to have cash to get it done yesterday.

I would never use any of the funds myself for travel to go see her or otherwise. I can work out my own.

I do think possibly using paypal or some fund would be good along with a mailing address for checks or MOs. Some people like the convienience of paypal and some like me don't use it.

We have to be concerned that if we put money into paypal, will it upset her income figures? Peach brought this subject up and since she is in that field I think she knows what problem we could maybe run into.

So Kritter, and some of you old timers, (I mean on the boards Kritter) Don't want Kritter to think I called her old could you help us figure out what to do here?

And yes, I welcome suggestions from the newer folks here on this board, we have a lot of nice people here and I sure don't want to offend anyone or leave anyone out.

First thanks for starting this thread Queenie - great idea.

And second - FFuts please keep us posted on how to contribute - maybe a check to you directly would be best? Once all the smart people here get organized let us know.

And Champ - you have so many friends here - whether through cheerful messages or contributions - we can all help in someway - you must just let us.
