Hey Mimi and Friends!

Mimi, go to the IXL website and click on the 6th grade bar. I think they have some Algebra in there and you can work up to 20 problems and have them checked. It's a good place to practice.

I think it goes up to 8th grade work, but it is a good place to find just about any kind of Math work.

You don't have to pay anything for that or even sign in. But if you want to do more than 20 problems you can join. I don't know if there's a fee for t hat.

Hope you enjoy the classes for this go around and that you do well in them.

Well, gonna look around the Park and then get off the pc.

Hope everybody has a good day!

but so far I'm getting it.. It's like a refresher course before getting

all into algebra.

my other classes are going good as well.

I am taking one class for beginning walking and jogging.

and I tell you what. my feet are hurtting today. well my left one is.I need some good walking shoes. so might just go look for some this weekend.

Kids are doing good.

went to DD apartment for moms bday on the 8th.

she made some vegetarian lasanga came out great.

been taking it slow and concentrateing on my school work.

but now that the house is TOO quiet..it's hard to do..lol

so came in to say HI and hope you all are doing well.

I better get to trying to do my work before time passes and kids get out of school. (I saykids incase I need to pick up the girls too)

Hey Mimi and friends!

Just got on broadband today and I'm trying to figure out how to set up the email part.

I've been offline for a while now. Wouldn't connect to the server, but the phone line was fine. I didn't hear any static on it at all and didn't have any problems calling or receiving calls.

Well, I was tired of not being able to get online when we had a lot of rain anyway. It was a pain.

Glad School is going good for you right now, Mimi.

Guess I better get back to work on this trying to figure it out.

Havea  nice evening!

Good morning..

and thanks guys...

Things here have been a struggle like usual but better.

I started my externship this week. and oh boy, the first day was wheew. went to bed and my head was still spining..lol

but I am getting the hang of how they run the clinic so things will work out just fine. I have to do 160 hrs before getting paid. if they keep me there that is. they did mention it cause they need the Spanish help. so we'll see..

school is great! I'm doing better than I thought. we got test scores back this week.. and I thought I would get at least an 80 something cause I really don't like reading and writing.. but i was shocked to see

that I got 100 on  my exam... oh man. I was like no way,, I got a 100? lol

I got my cap and gown ready.. I'm graduating from this program.

on may 10th.. mexican mothers day..

At first when I got the letter about graduation, I was like na.. I don't want to participate walking acrose the stage and cap and gown. pictures and what not.. It's not a diploma or anything huge. but the more I thought about it and the more I heard..

I remembered all the hard work and struggles I went through to get here. so YES.. I did send in mypaper work and all and so YES I'm walking the stage w/my head held high.. : )

The name of my program  is .. Medical Office Administration and Management. that is what my title will be.. : )

Whew. now I look back and wow.. I DID IT!

so a huge thanks to you guys for your support and umph and

all you've done for me to keep going.. been a heck of a long road!

SO sorry I've not been around the park much.

always trying to finish or catch up on things I didn't get done

and for now.. I have lots tocatch up on outside and inside

took David to CCD class and gets out at 10:15 so I have little time

to pick up around here but thought I'd drop by first to let ya know what's been going on..

Kids are all doing great. David stretching and will probably pass me by end of summer..... lol showed me his shoes tore so now needs new ones.. lol do boys tear their clothes more than girls? lol I don't remember..lol

well better get moving.. hope you all have been and are doing and will do great..

Ya take care. and have a great wonderful weekend..

lots and lots of hugs..

Hey Mimi, way to go girlfriend.  A big "high five" to you.  I'm sure David is doing well in school too, so a big "High five" to him also.  Your title sounds impressisve. I know I'm impressed.

Go do graduation and enjoy yourself, you deserve it.

Hey Mimi and Friends!

Congratulations, Mimi! Yes, you do need to walk the aisle in your cap and gown. You have earned it. I bet your kids will be yelling their heads off at the ceremony.lol

I cannot believe this month is almost over. You're right it will soon be Mother's Day here too. Can't remember what day in May for here, but it's always on a Sunday, Father's Day too. I think that was a wise move for whoever decided to fix it that way on the holidays. That way you can have Church service with them and then go eat.

Son gets out of School the 26th of May, so he's got about a month left. My neice will be graduating again to I think from this last program, don't know what was involved in it.

I been making a few things to list on here tomorrow. Maybe they'll sell. Been thinking about trying out that place Ffuts mentioned a few years ago and they do get better prices, but their's is a store and you have to put a price on it.

Still sounds interesting, though.

Well, guess I better run along.

Hope everybody has a nice weekend!

Good morning.. : )

Hi Stubby and Cathy. thanks..

well I DID walk the stage! Graduated w/Honors! And my kids and mom were proud..felt so good!

I'm almost done w/my hrs. need about 30 more to go!

I'm not taking any summer classes this time. I've missed the past two

summers spending time and doing things w/David so this summer goes to him!

David gets out of school this Thurs. and he can't wait..lol

Hope you all are doing good and will have a great summer!

Kids are doing good.. Mom and I are good too. so all is good : )

OH I got David a parrot kite last week. Told him we'd get some of them glow sticks and put them on the kite and fly it one night when i'ts windy..lol Told him people would be freaking out calling the cops saying there is a flying object...lol Think I kind of scared him he didn't want to get into trouble..lol

Cathy hope your creations are selling.

Kind of feels odd not having to get up and rush to do or go someplace..lol but do need to make a list of things we need and go to store here in a bit before it gets too hot or crowded for the weekend parties..lol

You all have a great fun safe weekend..

hugs

May 29, 2012 09:36 AM

Hey Mimi!

Well, it's good to take  abreak every now and then, and I know David will love not having to share you with the books.lol

Son got out of School Friday and yesterday I was tempted to go in his bedroom and tell him to get up and get ready for School before he missed the bus.lol

That trick would've made him mad.

He's playing on the Wii now.

I've taken down the curtains in the kitchen and bathroom and going to take the rest of them down and wash them. It's about time.

Those two necklaces I made sold. A lady in Mexico bought both of them.

I made another one for Son's Basic Skills teacher in Math. She's younger than the rest of the women teachers and she acted like she liked it.

I gave the other ones a pack of note cards and jeweled bookmarks with their initials.

I bought the man teacher an Auburn cap and crochet him a tie in the Auburn colors. It's navy blue and orange stripes. I used crochet thread size 10 and it came out real good.

Well, gonna move along and see what's going on.

Hope you and David have a great day, Mimi!

HI..

hope you all have been doing good.

That is great Cathy.

and lol about playing that trick on son and yep he prob wouldn't think it was too funny..lol

All is going good here.

David and I have made a drawing of a Robot we plan on building.

I have to work tomorrow but we'll go to Homedepot to check out what

we need and make a list and all on Tue. He's real excited about it.

Told him he can use it as target practice w/his nerve gun and water ballons. LOL

Spent time w/DD on Fri. then on Sat went to my brothers and my other brother came w/his fam.

Had a good time catching up, DD even went. one brother said it was

about time she came out of her cave and joined in some fam. time..lol they have not seen her in about a yr.. one brother thought she was still 16yrs old..lol

Well I have some pics I want to share but need to load them and see if I can

remember how to post..lol going to be hard cause moms old comp

don't have that slot for the chip. so have take pics of the camera screen and then email them to myself and so on..lol

well time to go to bed..

just wanted to drop by right quick..

Good night, God Bless

Hey Mimi!

You know those Robot Wars competition they show on tv? Well, a lot of the high schools have a robot crew now for that kind of competition.

They build robots and compete against the other schools.

David might like to do that one day.

How is the little garden coming? It is so hot here. We've been getting tomatoes, squash, peppers, and corn out of our garden so far. Husband has okra planted too, but it's too small right now. Gonna be a while before it starts producing.

Son is with Mil. She may bring him home today. She picked him up Monday.

I finally got his report card that day. They had to come back by to pick up part of his water pic he'd left here and I told him he was promoted to 7th grade and had all A's and B's on his report card. He whooped.lol

Told Mil she's gonna have to nag him about using that and brushing his teeth every time he eats and what he can't have because of his braces. Have to remind him about putting those rubber bands in at night too.

I'm glad you got to be together with your family some, Mimi. I bet those neices of yours are young ladies now.lol

DD needs to get out. Hope she is still doing good at her place and enjoying her independance.

Has Jr. done any more art work? I remember he had some of his pictures on display once a long time ago.

Well, I guess I better go. Sis called a few minutes ago and said she was on her way.

Hope you and David have a great day, Mimi, and all who come in!

Jun 27, 2012 06:33 AM

Good morning!

Hope all has been well w/you guys and that ya are taking care from all this heat!

All has been ok here. never did get the robot done.

after we cut shapes out of paper and fixed on the floor

he lost interest and then wanted to make a car.

soon after he lost interest in it all together.

He has been working on a summer homework pack and we've

been learning our multiplications. We have a quarter for ea. card.

so think it's like 13 bucks total.

We try to get one more quarter every time we play.

then put the quarters back in container.

keeping track if we get less or more per play lol

when he gets all the quarters then he keeps them : )

Work is good. I've completed my time! But still go to add to my

experience. Trying to see if they are able to hire me or not but

am looking while I'm still helping. lots of places require at least 1 - 2 yrs of actual working w/pts and office. so I'll keep on working and add

up my time while searching. : )

Kids are fine. and Yes Cathy JR is still doing art..

he's taking an art/painting class this semester and he's showed me

some of his paintings. he took pics w/his cell. lol

he's pretty good :) says the teacher wants him to do it her way

but he don't like it. he likes the way he's doing it. and he's good.lol

I mean if a person does good the way they do things.

why should they want to force them to do it another way?

but he's cool.

David. oh boy that david.. what can I say lol

getting big. smart when he wants to be. funny too.

hates to do anything that makes him sweat.. but I tell him

that is supposed to happen.. still trying to teach him to ride

a bike but not often enough. My arms start to ache and I need to stop

for a few days. don't want to get hurt again. took this long to

get this far.

DD is doing great. growing up more and more. she's happy.

got another doggie. her first dog is collie mix. min. and his name is luke. he reminds me so much of Maggie. same size face collor.

they got a pup about a week ago. named her lea..? like in star wars..lol they are happy so I'm good. they know if ever they  need

something to let me know and I'll be there.

Cathy hope your son takes care of his teeth. and in 7th grade already. wow. Davids passed to the 4th. wow again..lol

He don't like brushing his teeth. my good ness it's like tourture!

Ok have to go but wanted to drop in.. catch up.

going to try and get into photo bucket today to see if I can

remember how it works..lol my goal for today is visit the park!!!!

Ya have a great morning...I have to take mom to work and visit bbf in rehab run a few errands and well,   I'll do my best. : )

Hey Mimi! Son is playing Star Wars on the Wii and so I decided to get on the pc for a little bit.

Mama had a stroke a few weeks ago and Sis bought two baby monitors off here.  I got one watching her now. It's picture screen is about the size of one on a cell phone.I hear what sne says too, so it's almost like being in the room with her, but a little farther off.

So far I've only had to get up 2 times at night. It was killing me sleeping in that recliner in her room. I'm one of those people that has to turn 100 different ways before the can get to sleep. Plus in the morning when I would get up out of that chair it felt like I'd been beat up.

Yeah, kids get bored with things pretty fast.

I agree on the tooth brushing, it's a job getting him to brush.

Neat about the multiplication money. He'll get it all before long.

Well, I got to get off the pc. I am so tired.

Have a nice day!

Hope everybodyy  had a nice 4th. We didn't shoot off fireworks or go watch them. Me and Son did watch the fireworks on t.v. from New York and some of the Boston Pops one.

Washing clothes now.

I ordered a crochet magazine from off here. Had a cute hat on the front. You know those crochet hats that people used to decorate and would use for weddings, etc.? That's one of the patterns.

I wonder if any of those are selling on here.

Well, got to go. Got a lot of stuff to do.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Re: "Crocheting in the Park" 905

Hey Mimi and Friends!

Mimi, it's a lot easier to just click on the paper clip overhead in the posting box. Then click on browse and pick out your pictures. It'll take it from your regular picture file. You don't have to go through photobucket unless you want to. You get 2 attatchments per post.

In the post it'll say attatchments and when we click on those it'll show two thumbnail pictures and we just click on which one we want to look at and it'll show that picture full size. I've seen some big pictures this way. It's neat.

Glad to hear you found some deals. I bet Dallas has some neat thrift stores. You should be able to find some really nice clothes considering all those fancy stores and rich people there. Even here the little thrift stores have some nice clothes, but the bigger the town the nicer the find.

I tell you what you do when you have time. If you can find some of those big name purses at the thrift store in good shape you could probably sell them on here for a good price and get some extra school money. I'm not joking. Them women get in big bidding wars sometimes over those bags.

Well, I'm gonna look around some and then get off here. Doily didn't sell, but the doll did and I don't know about this hat I got on now. Think I may just decorate it and give it  to Sis.

Hope you have a good day, Mimi, and all who come in!

Good morning..ok this looks diffrent so looks like it'll work.

my nails are so long it's frusterating! but I'm trying to see how long they grow and waiting for one to break so I can cut them off..lol

I'm not even taking care of them...but when I did they would't grow this long..lol

I fixed the window to my truck the other day. Took the door pannel off and all and pushed the window up and fixed it so it wouldn't fall back down. and did what I had to andput things back and wa la.. I did it!

I've been crocheting again. small blocks w/my left over yarns I've had in a bag..I've been so restless that can not even sit still to watch a movie or novelas any more..but it's hard w/these nails..lol

anyways.. hope ya are doing well..ugh oh. sun just starting to come through the window so that means I need to get things done around the house before it gets too warm for my liking.

ok if this worked I'll drop back in later and share another pics.

have a good weekend and be safe from this heat!

It worked Mimi. All you got to do to see the pictures is click on the arrow and then click on the thumbnails or the link under them and it takes you to another page where it shows the pictures.

You all look so nice in them. Look like your mom was having a good time fishing too.

David is growing up fast.
