Ex Central Illinois person who is now living on A lake here in MO. Must stay in a lot due to health so turn this gadget on around 4,5,6,7am and shut it off 10pm,11,12,1,2am,etc. I just responded to 2 chat rooms last night and this morning for the first time ever My brother said chat rooms were fun, Hope I don't say anything wrong. My other brother sells on e-bay all the time and said he likes it. Hope to meet some new friends.

Roger,, Your fireworks on that post are enough to last me a year,,, I have never gone to the ones here on the lake, They fire them off an island and put on quite a show I guess, Lived here 14 years and have not interest in going. LOL
I sure didn't miss all the noise in the neighborhood this year,, now if the people up the road are still here this weekend they might get carried away tonight since it rained some today.. Only one loud BOOM today so far. Those people must spend thousands each year,, its unbelievable how much the shoot off.

We got more rain again tonight, I am so glad. Hoping it cools us down some. Had 10 days straight of temps in the 100's! Everything is burning up. What I hear on the news nationwide does not sound a bit good. makes me wonder what is really going on in this world.

Mr Trainer put his heart into that one
Back in the 90's and rising daily. Humidity is pretty high, but the rain did wonders for a while. At least did not have to water every night and that was sure nice.

Good Morning folks,,, so happy to see so many folks have posted here during my unexcused absence.
Artwall even stopped in,, been some time since I saw Artwall post. thanks everyone for coming by. I should do better about posting,,, shame on me.....
Life here is about the same,, my disease has progressed just a little, but I expect I can make it a few more years, hope so anyway, if not and God decides its my time, I am ready.
I slept 14 houirs Friday,, a bit to much I reckon, last few days I have been up all night and sleeping all day. Got days and night mixed up now. LOL

Well at least you are getting your rest Ffuts.
could be it's been too hot to really relax and do things during the day
and at night you're more comfortable moving about so your body rests when it's too hot to move about and saves it's energy for cooler time of day/night ; )
Glad you are still around..and hope you make it another few years more.

Hi Mimi,,,
I hope to make it a few more years,,,, Last visit to VA clinic caregiver (Nurse Practitioner) told me my extreme lack of energy, morning headaches, problem sleeping,, is from progression of my COPD. I need to learn to adapt to it. I have done it before, so, I need to work on that again. I did have a bit of a pity party for a day or so, but decided I need to get my positive attitude back, One thins is that I Thank God daily for my many blessings, I could be bed bound and not be able to move at all, so I am thankful I can at least get up a little bit at a time and do a few things. Its just hard to accept that I can not do much of anything any more excpet sit here and get bed sores on my rear. LOL It IS frustrating for sure, but I have two caregivers who have been great about helping me along.
At this time all I have to do is maintain on an even keel and I could last another 10 years,, Just imagine,, 80? I could REALLY be grumpy by then huh?

Quiet here at home, so I'd thought I'd check before I start getting ready to watch the Sprint Cup race tonight.
Ffuts, since you mentioned VA care, I thought I'd ask you a question. My husband recently applied for VA healthcare since his COBRA payments are over $700 per month (just for his medical coverage,no dental). He hasn't heard yet whether he's been accepted or not. Do you remember how long you had to wait before you found out about your acceptance?
