Re: News from the garden

JV: I am.

Today has been much better. I am still tired, I slept good last night. I am still ocassionally experiencing bleeding, yesterday and today is one of those ocassions. So I am keeping a careful eye on my color, etc. The pain is not as bad as it was yesterday...I figure at least I am here to experience pain so I am a lot better off than a lot of people. We (my family physician and one of the docs I work with and me) think the pain is from adhesions from all the abdominal surgeries. We are also begining to believe that the bleed that caused the low hemoglobin was from an adhesion tearing lose, not a long slow gi bleed as the gi docs think. It makes more sense for me to have been pretty ok on Saturday and to go rapidly downhill on Sunday to the point of almost death by Monday night.

I want to go home and sleep after work but I am going to church. We are having a dinner, then church (or prayer meeting). So I will crawl my merry self into bed after 10 tonight. Cause I'll get home around 9, have to take the dogs for a walkie, corral the danged cat, etc. I am still adopting the kittens (I hope the minister doesn't mind me not taking them until the Sunday after Thanksgiving). It is not fair to get them tonight and then me go out of town next week. Jack and Jill are staying at Auntie Denise's house (she and Jim will have them so rotten by the time I get home). Jack and Fred will be great pals, Peppi and Jill will just occupy opposite ends of the couch like the princesses they are...LOL

Hey Gardeners!

Today is Son's last day of school till after next week. Some folks call it Fall Break. I just say he's getting a long holiday.

I did plant the turnip seeds. Haven't checked to see if they've come up yet.

We're going to get some new heads for the garden hoses this morning.

Husband's off till Monday.

Gonna go look at something and then get off.

Have a pretty day!

Good Afternoon gardeners....

We finally had a sunshine day yesterday and some today,,,its overcast a bit right now,,,I think more clouds are coming in from SW. Weathman forecast that last night.

Wanted to get out yesterday and sit on deck, but when I drove cart up to check mail it was a bit to brisk to sit out on deck. I wanted to go out there today, but it looks like I should have gone earlier when it was clear. May take a cup of coffee and go out and sit a few minutes here pretty soon.

I have two Rosemary going half way decent now. I did read that the roots grow straight down and one needs a deep pot. That may have been my problem before when I keep killing them.
Cathy, was it you that said you had some that look like little Christmas trees,,,? I saw some at Wmart in a ladies basket that looked like that,,,she paid $5 each for them as they were on sale,,,I wanted on so bad but they were sold out already :(. I brought my two starts in yesterday as the night temps have been pretty cool. Supposed to get some near freezing temps off and one in the next week.

Still have not drained to water hoses, to watching forecasts very close. Not sure I will be able to drain them myself, but will try before I have to ask someone.

I have some dill growing in bucket out on deck, I cover it with a piece of glass off and on, wonder if it will survive being outside all winter. I still have not been able to get lettuce started again outside,,strange,,after having it grow for 3 years under glass all winter long. May be my dirt needs some attention.

Trying to keep up here at the Park more often,,,but I know I get sidetracked to much over on Facebook...miss so many of the friends that are not posting on Ebay boards now...its such a shame.

I do see a lot of folks over on Facebook from the Park, but it doesn't seem as close knit a group over there as the Park was. :( Harder to keep up and to communicate like here.

Hey Gardeners!

Yes, Ffuts, I have one Rosemary plant and it looks like a baby Christmas tree.

The turnips have come up.

I wish you could've gotten in on the herb sale. Would've been neat if you'd been able to snag one and have it in the house at Christmas.

How's your Amarylis doing?

That's another nice thing to have when you can't get outside in the Winter.

Yes, everybody seems to be on Facebook.

Hey Zing! Hope you're feeling well. Has your church started practicing Christmas songs yet?

It's getting to that time of the year again.

Hey Junk! Hope you're doing good and managing to stay out of the snow drifts.

Have a pretty day everybody!

Hey Gardeners!

Messy here again. I remember last week that the local weatherman said we'd prolly have a chilly Thanksgiving this year.

I put flannel sheets on the bed yesterday and it makes a big difference. Can't stand those icy sheets in the Winter.

Husband grilled like a maniac Saturday and we were still eating the leftovers yesterday.lol

Got some eggplant and they were big and pretty. He grilled some of them too.

Gonna move along and look at stuff.

Stay warm and have a pretty day!

Chilly here. Talking about us possibly getting some rough weather on Wednesday.

Can't believe this is the last day of November.

Son started back to school this morning. Boy, was he grumpy. Didn't want to get out of that warm bed.

Started working in the big flower bed friday.

Been raking leaves and piling them up for Husband to put in his chicken pens.

Need to drag out the lights for the porch.

Junk, hope you and Ffuts are keeping warm. If it's cold to me, it's probably freezing where y'all are.

Guess I better get on up and get busy.

Have a pretty day!

Gray and rainified here. Gonna rain all weekend. Its so damp and then I get my chilled...My house has no heat. I have a space heater and am going to buy a bigger one for the front of the house.

I hope to get the living room cleaned up and decorated for Christmas.

Doing good. No energy. I love my church and my church family.
