No, Ffuts, you should be glad you couldn't! I wasnt told that it was gonna be a "Showcase" and that John's band wasnt on till last. Meant sitting thru a bunch of cellar-dweller bands. The monitors weren't working right, the amps were off, the room was the "back room" not the large "front room"
the only saving grace was that from 8-10 it was $2 U-call-its, so DH's beers were cheap. From 10-2 they were $3. But at 10pm he switched to ice water, so i knew he wasnt feeling too good. So I spent the night asking "are you ok? do ya wanna leave?" Add another 10 gray hairs to my head from worrying.... He spent all day Saturday in bed not feeling well.
Altho last night we did finally make it to the Hibachi Grill & Sushi Bar (Buffet place located in the same shopping center as Warehouse 24.) which is where I wanted to have dinner before seeing John, but we just didnt make it there that night. Last night before I left work, I called home to see how DH was feeling and give DH the estimated time I'd be home, and he said, "Just call from the train station and I'll be out front and we can go out to dinner down to Hibachi." He is not a sushi lover and he was thinking he wasnt gonna like it, but was willing to take me out for putting up with him lately. (??? dont ask me, he was ok as far as I was concerned -- mostly --- lol.)
After we were seated and got our drinks, we started checking out the different buffet items. He found several things he thought wouldnt be too bad. (I was heaping the seafood on my plate and it was all yummy). He loved the "steak pie" and the "buttered potatoes". and said "this was pretty good, thanks for suggesting it." (pick my jaw up off the floor!) Total Bill WITH TIP, $28.00. and i'm still fulll... lol. AND I got my sushi fix in.
Tonight and tomorrow are "parade registration" at Boro Hall for 4th of July. Hopefully we get some participants! 
Just a lot of "down time" sitting waiting for people to show up.
