Your opinion on a Dale Earnhardt Sr. card...

I have listed a few of these cards and it is supposed to to signed on the front left and hand numbered on the back. At the end of my description I put "error???" because it is not signed or numbered. I am not saying that it is an error thats why I put the question marks. I would like opinions if you think this is an eror card or just a junk card that should have been thrown away. Also do you see any value to it?

I dont know the exact answer about this card, but my guess would be that they produced the cards with the intention of Dale Sr. signing them, and the signing session fell through, or there might have been a contract dispute, etc.  You said you have listed a few of these, does that mean you had multiples of this Earnhardt card unsigned?  Cards that are not really errors, such as blank backs, usually have trouble moving at what would be considered a premium price.  Also this cards looks to have some major condition issues.

As someonein... said it maybe that the signing session was cancelled or they couldn't get Earnhardt to commit to a session. It appears to me that it could be a "base" card from this set. Quite often they will make unsigned "base" cards with the same exact design as the signed cards to make it easier to affix the "signed" stickers to the cards, unless they planned on having signed "on card" editions. Sometimes those still have the "congratulations..." text as with the signed versions, but usually they don't have the blank template for the serial numbering.
