I'll report some.
I don't know if it will do any good. I'm fairly sure that ebay no longer reads my reports.

I didn't see anything. Do I need the quotes?

I went and read the posting and am disgusted...

This was reported on both the Account Hijack and regular live help chats.

Neither seemed to concerned until I reminded them that by having PROOF of reporting the hijackings and their lack of reponse, if there is a victim in all of this, eBay is liable for it.

I've printed the searches and am creating an excel spreadsheet of the item numbers in order to contact any winners if need be.

I've got copies of both chats just in case, as well as both threads.

eBay's lack of response is just as criminal as the hackers.

Thank you all so much for all your hard work!

(Will cross post this on the us site)

Thanks for your support krs :)

Its really strange actually - not your usualy hi-jack at all.

Firstly in that usually just one of the sellers listings have been 'added to' rather than changed altogether. Often no other listings are affected, and no additional listings added by the hi-jacker.

It makes me think that somehow the listings page itself has been kind of hacked, rather than a hijacker taking over several hundred accounts ?:|

The sellers all had their accounts stolen with this question,

Q: Hello, My name is Ace Schmidt. I just saw this item of yours and I remember seeing the same item two days ago, take a look: Link http%3A%2F%2Fsearch-completed.ebay.mydyn.net/ws/eBayISAPI.dll.php?SignIn&UsingSSL=1&pUserId=&co_partnerId=2&siteid=0&save=Save

Please note the URL
The scammer is routing through ebay's servers and having ebay send the victims to his scam login page.
The scammer's url comes after the (requesturl) in the above URL

PLEASE DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHAT YOU ARE DOING! The live part of the link goes to ebay anyway, you have to assemble the whole link to get to the scammer's site.

(I put a space in the link between (requesturl=) and (http) to prevent blowing out the board margins)

I noticed that question in several of the affected listings and verified it through the few sellers I was able to get in touch with directly by email.

There is no legitimate excuse for why ebay would be allowing their servers to redirect anyone to a non ebay address.
This is just plain negligence from poorly trained IT personnel.

Wait until the scammers figure out how to use this for URLs beginning with hŧŧps://signin.ebay.com/?request url/http scammers fake page.html
