Is this worth anything? Very old new in box Aiptek Pencam?

I have a 3 in 1 Aiptek Pencam that came my way from a friend who has close relative having their business shut down. Unfortunate, but now i have inherited some camera stuff that could be junk or treasure? It's never been used and is new in box. The box is a little dusty/dirty but nothing a clorox wipe or tissue wont get off. Also since this item is very old should I open it to test it? Doesn't that depreciate the value of the item? It is New- but old so do you test these very old products even if it breaks all the great original sealed newness packaging?? Here's pics tell me what you think- avoid box dirtiness in judging the price value of this

which is selling for $14.99.

The good news is that yours looks it would be the next generation up from this one... but I don't know much else. Hope that helps some... it is the best parallel I could find.
