Brass lamp Art Deco? Eastlake? Ex. Co. on base. Help ID?

I'd like to know the correct time period and era of this brass lamp. I thought it was Art Deco, but possilbe Eastlake? The base is marked Pat. Applied For, EX. Co. 201. Does anyone know anything about this company? (Some parts, such as finial and stem I believe are replacement pieces.) Any info on this item is appreciated. Thanks. :)

I can't help you with your lamp, but it's a very interesting piece. I just wanted to suggest you take your post over to the antiques board. I am betting there is someone there that can point you in the right direction.
