This was my MIL's and I am interested in selling it. It does not really have a cedar smell, but I can not imagine that it is not a cedar chest.

 

Does this style look familiar to anyone? Help with description?

Take a bit of sandpaper and lightly sand the interior wood.  If it

is cedar, you will be able to smell it.

I'm not expert, but that looks like Pine to me.
