This workshop is designed
and written with the idea to make you all better template makers and users.
The workshop will briefly discuss the the do’s and don’ts and pro’s
and con’s of designing auction templates for ebay. I will discuss basic
html, html editors and whats the best in my opinion, photo hosting, color theory,
background, screen effects, resolution, tables, and a little CSS.
Topic 1: Get your self
on the right foot
Take a look at:
www.htmlgoodies.com
(#1 pick)
www.webmonkey.com
www.w3schools.com
and do some reading on basic html tags, what the tags are used for.
This maybe an obvious point
but if you plan on using or creating templates for ebay you will want to get
a good html editor. There are many good free one’s out there. One of my
favorite websites to find them is www.tucows.com and type “html editor”
in the search box. Download a couple of the freeware ones and play around with
it. If you don’t like it try another. It’s free so why not?
If you want to upgrade from
a simple HTML editor, You can also purchase Dreamweaver MX, Frontpage, or First
Page, these can have a mjor learning curve so try to farmiliarize yourself enough with html tags and what they do before you purchase a major editor.
