Hello Everyone, Another question we often hear is about what PayPal does to protect sellers. PayPal does a number of things to help sellers stay safe and help prevent the likelihood of a dispute, claim or chargeback. We use industry leading, state-of-the-art technology to prevent fraud. We also use proprietary risk models to help predict fraudulent activity, blocking buyers who have a very high likelihood of being fraudulent. If a seller still gets a chargeback, PayPal investigates every complaint filed against the seller and frequently disputes the claim with the buyer’s credit card company on the seller’s behalf. This saves the seller time and hassle, and leverages the expertise PayPal has in this area. As a safety net, the Seller Protection Policy provides chargeback protection up to $5,000 on qualified transactions. The Seller Protection Policy is industry-leading…no one else provides this type of coverage. To qualify, Sellers must follow several guidelines, including shipping to a confirmed address and tracking shipment through online tracking. --Dave
