Message # 2: eBay Express Listing Eligibility tool.

As promised, we have created a tool that will help sellers find out if their item qualifies for eBay Express, and if not, exactly what they need to change to make it qualify. This eBay Express Eligibility tool is now live, and here is how it works.

First, visit the eBay Express section of your seller preferences on My eBay. Here you will clearly be able to see whether or not your account is qualified to sell on eBay Express.

If your account is not currently qualified, sellers can select the “not qualified” link to identify how they can qualify for eBay Express

A few reminders for you:

1. We have posted details about how the eBay Express search technology works & how items show in eBay Express on the eBay Express discussion board. That thread can be found here.



2. The eBay Express eligibility criteria can be found here.



3. Additionally, once you and your listings are eligible for eBay Express, you can track your listings & sales on eBay Express through My eBay. Details on how can be found here.

Here are some questions we thought you might ask:

Question: If someone BINs an Express qualified item on eBay.com, will it be available on eBay Express?
Answer: No.

Question: If someone Bids on an Express qualified item on eBay.com, will it be available on eBay Express?
Answer: As a rule of thumb, the item will be available if it still has a BIN price. That means that the item will be available if it’s Reserve Price has not been met. The item will not be available on eBay Express if:

1. The item has no Reserve price; or


2. The item’s Reserve price has been met

Question: If someone “Reserves” an item (i.e. clicks on “Place Order”) on eBay Express, will it be available on eBay.com?
Answer: No.

Question: Will Express qualified Auction/BIN items show up in Express search until listing end time?
Answer: No. Search will stop showing Auction format with Buy-It Now items that have an ending time within 12 hours of completion.

Question: Will Express qualified Auction/BIN items be available through the Express view item page, cart or checkout, until listing end time?
Answer: No. These Express pages will show a listing as unavailable 2 hours before listing end time. The cart and checkout pages will have a link to “find similar items”.

Question: Will this be available on other Express sites?
Answer: eBay Express DE just launched. Auction/BIN item currently do not qualify on eBay Express DE.

Question: Does Dutch Auction/BIN format qualify for eBay Express?
Answer: No. Today Dutch BIN does not qualify for eBay Express. Dutch Auction/BIN will also not qualify.

When if or will Cdn sellers who ship from Canada and sell on Ebay US ever be eligible for Ebay Express?

i would like to know why shipping to unconfirmed addresses is required when the buyer payes with paypal are you expecting less buyer fraud with express?

"Marketplace safety tip: This merchant will receive your message, but may not reply in time to help you make a buying decision. You can keep your email address private by choosing to hide your address from this merchant."
"The seller may include your question in the item description"

This is what shows up if a buyer asks a seller a question on Ebay Express. It's a big blue safety exclamation. This sounds an awful lot like you are taking a stance & voicing your opinion on the business ethics of a seller. I don't believe I should be penalized with any suggestion that I'm going to post their messages to the public. You provided the tool to post it to a message, I would much rather have it disabled so I don't give buyers the perception that I would do this. I think it's awful. I would like it removed as a feature if you're going to use it against me.
