How can the collectors in the United States understand what is going on in Europe in reguards to pricing of some countries and topics. For example EUROPA topical some of the prices are far ahead of cat. prices.

Hi Oakmore,

While certainly there are offline resources available for this, my recommendation would be to check closed auctions on ebay. Hear is a link where you can do this:

Hi Dan,

The principal questions a group of long time users of the eBay stamps listings came up with deals with the Rules on Forgeries, etc., the Process, the Resources, and the Scope of the eBay - APS arrangement:
Suggested eBay-APS Workshop Questions

I think they cover the waterfront.

Hi oakmore,
Let me add to that. A good European catalog would help as well. There are several depending of course upon the country. If you are an APS member you can borrow a recent one from the Library. Bob

If you are listing stamps say on the UK site does this still come up on the USA site for everyone in the US to see or just when you log in does it go to your what you are selling page?

eBay Workshop: Selling Stamps on eBay - Monday, December 1st

Bob:
What can we as collectors do when we see a dealer offer items that are identified incorrectly or who offer items using catalog values that represent a copy of a stamp in much better condition than offered (e.g. "Scott #1, missing corner and creased, Cat Value $600). This is deceptive at best, and fraud at worst.

What recourse is there if they are not APS members?

Question regarding the treatment of forgeries, etc.:

1. Are all the items deemed to be forgeries, fakes, facsimiles, and reproductions required to be listed only in the Cinderellas & Fakes category? If so, shouldn't there be an eBay web page that specifically states the requirement? The only requirement which might be applied is in Paragraph 5.1 of the User Agreement which says, "All listed items must be listed in an appropriate category." (This requirement is not consistently enforced, and some eBay staff are not familiar with it.)
