You have credibility when you are listed as a Trading Assistant on eBay's Trading Assistant Directory. To be included in the Trading Assistant Directory and have access to the Trading Assistant marketing materials, you must have (1) sold an average of 4 items per month during the previous 3 months, (2) a feedback score of 100 or higher, (3) 97% positive feedback or higher, and (4) your eBay account must be in good standing. In the eBay Guide, Trading Assistant Tips, the author suggests selling your own stuff first, and I agree with the author. If you are new to eBay and want to become a Trading Assistant, by the time you sell your own stuff on eBay you should be able to meet the requirements listed above to be included in the Directory, and, you will know if being an eBay seller is the right job for you.
